Full Stack Engineer

Fidelity Brokerage – Enterprise Digital Experience Chapter Area is looking for a passionate Full Stack Engineer to build and support world-class products for the technology teams in our Enterprise Digital Experience product area. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to own entire features from concept to deployment working on cross-functional teams. You'll have the opportunity to contribute ideas to improve our products as well as develop your skills, learn new technologies and languages, and continue to learn. We're looking for highly motivated individuals who work well in a collaborative, iterative, and fast-paced environment.

The Team:

The team will partner with the Fidelity enterprise stakeholders and several Brokerage and Workplace Investing teams in creating scalable end to end customer experiences delivered consistently across Fidelity. Your primary role will be building, testing, automating and engineering web applications using modern technologies like Angular, NodeJS, Java, JavaScript, Typescript and REST APIs. You will also work with the tech lead to define and implement engineering solutions for our technology products. You will be expected to quickly gain understanding of all the components of our web applications and will work with the team to deliver outstanding solutions.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring:

  • Bachelor's / Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Engineering
  • Extraordinary problem solving skills dealing with complex distributed deployments
  • 2+ years of experience(currently hands on) in Angular, NodeJS, HTML, CSS/SASS, Jasmine, Cypress.
  • 2+ years of experience in Java, Spring MVC / Spring Core /JSP/ Web Services (SOAP/REST) and configuring web containers.
  • 2+ years of Responsive & Progressive Modern Web application development.
  • API Design & Development, Microservices Architecture.
  • Good to have understanding of Mono Repo and Nx workspace.
  • Champion and advocate of Test Driven Development, Unit testing using frameworks and tools like Jest or Jasmine.
  • At least 2 years of experience designing and implementing automation testing frameworks.
  • Experience with web based and API based automation tool sets such as: Playwright, Cypress, Selenium or RESTAssured
  • Fully hands on with application builds and deploys using Continuous Integration/ Deployment (CI/CD) tools like Jenkins, artifactory, uDeploy, etc.
  • Good understanding of cloud-computing / cloud services platforms (e.g. AWS)

  • Worked in dynamic agile work streams and ensure our products are scalable and extensible.
  • Align with the leadership’s vision for the products and ensure that day-to-day tactical requests don’t compromise that vision.
  • Perform code reviews, unit testing, automation, and integration testing using Open Source frameworks.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Identification, isolation, resolution, and communication of complex problems within the production and nonproduction environment.
  • Champion good unit test practices like test driven development and follow good code coverage practices.
