Job Summary
 

The Physical Medicine Lead functions as a foundational source to evaluate, develop, implement, and maintain clinical standards and best practices for the physical medicine team. The Lead is responsible for managing and developing their designated care team of Acupuncturists, Chiropractors and Physical Therapists. The Lead provider works with the Physical Medicine Manager to shape the overall clinic program and contributes to future program development. The position functions in a variety of both clinical and administrative responsibilities. The Physical Medicine Lead responsibilities include working both independently and collaboratively with their designated care team and support staff in accordance with quality and regulatory standards, professional standards of practice, as well as company and/or clinic-specific policies and procedures.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provides direct patient care

  • Conducts quarterly chart reviews

  • Advocates for growth, leadership and project opportunities

  • Reviews and approves continuing education requests 

  • Assists in onboarding new providers outside of Physical Medicine (primary care, mental health)

  • Hires, coaches, and develops staff.  Assists in onboarding and training new team members.  Encourages continuing professional education and development to enhance learning and meet licensing expectations.

  • Assesses Tableau data and responds to utilization, survey comments, NPS

  • Assists in leading care team and Physical Medicine team breakouts 

  • Actively participates in scheduled programming

  • Reviews and approves care team’s schedules to optimize utilization

  • Supports the AAAHC / NCQA accreditation process for the patient-centered medical home 

  • Assists in evaluating and  improving current programs (Back School, site-specific class offerings)

  • Assists in developing, pitching and managing new health education / prevention programs for employees that target current needs of the patient population

  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

Required Qualifications 

  • Chiropractor (DC) or Physical Therapist (DPT) who is a graduate of an accredited school with a current state license.

  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, preferably in an integrated clinical setting

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in program level management

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in program development

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Mac OS (Pages, KeyNote, and Numbers) and Google office products

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills to serve as a trusted advisor to the client and leader to the team members during the implementation and operational phases of the project.

Physical Job Requirements

  • May require standing, walking and sitting for extended amounts of time.

  • Occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.

  • Manual and finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination

  • Includes full range of body motion including potential of handling and lifting patients.

  • Requires corrected vision, hearing and speech within normal ranges. Must be able to effectively communicate with patients and team members.

The base pay range for this position is $62.18 to $71.50 per hour. Pay range may vary depending on work location, applicable knowledge, skills, and experience. This position may be eligible for an annual bonus opportunity and comprehensive benefits package that includes Medical Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, Short- and Long-Term Disability, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off and 401K.
