Summary:
The Corporate Finance 340B Internal Auditor is responsible for surveillance and auditing of pharmacy processes, medication-related activities and applicable software-related transactions across 340B eligible areas within Memorial Healthcare System. Responsible for preparing responses to transaction audits, including audits by finance or payors, drug utilization audits, and review of ineligible 340B claims.Responsibilities:
Completes additional responsibilities and projects as assigned.Maintains working knowledge of clinical and distribution work flow processes of pharmacies including procurement and use of split-billing/third party administrator software. Provides ongoing education of all team members involved in the procurement process to ensure proper operations and compliance.Monitors, reports, and analyzes 340B activities. Performs covered entity-specific data analysis and makes recommendations to improve program financial and compliance performance. Develops systems and processes to limit program liabilities and provides proper audits to identify risk. Identifies root causes of adverse trends, and makes recommendations to improve compliance and financial stability.Evaluates dispensations and/or claims eligibility for qualified and non-qualified patients in all 340B Universes, such as, but not limited to, hospital-based, mixed-use, contract pharmacies, clinics, and clean sites by reviewing electronic health records and/or pharmacy management systems.Assists with team efforts in developing solutions to difficult or complex situations identified during monthly audits conducted by 340B Internal Auditors. Ensures that 340B policy and procedures are always being met.Provides day-to-day maintenance of Memorial Healthcare System’s participation in the 340B Drug Discount program in order to ensure regulatory compliance and maximize program savings.Competencies:
