About Team:
ERPC Orchestration exposes enterprise-level APIs that provide key item details — including product, price, inventory, promotion, association, and restriction — across Lowe’s ecosystem. These APIs power multiple selling channels, including Online, Stores, Mobile, and Contact Centers, making ERPC one of the organization’s most critical systems, known for its high performance, scalability, availability, and reliability.
In addition, ERPC provides data feeds to external partners such as Google, Facebook, and various third-party marketplace vendors, ensuring accurate and consistent product information across all customer touchpoints.
Job Summary:
The primary purpose of this role is to translate business requirements and functional specifications into logical program designs and to deliver code modules, stable application systems, and software solutions. This includes developing, configuring, or modifying complex integrated business and/or enterprise application solutions within various computing environments. This role facilitates the implementation and maintenance of complex business and enterprise software solutions to ensure successful deployment of released applications.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Core Responsibilities:
Works to simplify solutions, optimize processes, remove bottlenecks, and resolve escalated issues.
Translates business requirements and specifications into logical program designs, code modules, stable application systems, and software solutions with occasional guidance from senior colleagues; partners with Product Team to understand business needs and functional specifications
Build software applications using technologies and languages including but not limited to Java, Kotlin, Spring boot, React, Mongo, PostgreSQL, Kafka and micro services architecture.
Applying different test methodologies such as Unit testing, E2E, BDD, Performance, DB Resiliency, and smoke testing using the technologies like Cucumber, Mockito, Kotest, Selenium, jUNIT, Karate and jMeter.
Implements continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes to ensure quality and efficiency in the development cycle using tools such as Jenkins, Git, Gradle, Spinnaker, JFrog, etc.
Deploy the applications to GCP (Google Cloud Platform) and Lowes store network using technologies and languages including but not limited to Docker, Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform.
Collaborate with SREs and platform engineers to enhance system performance, availability, reliability, telemetry, and automation
Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices across the team
Participate in system design reviews, code reviews, and architecture discussions
Troubleshoot complex production issues and lead root cause analysis efforts
Years of Experience:
6 years of experience in any of the following: software engineering competencies frontend technologies (UI/UX), middleware (microservices and APIs), database technologies, DevOps
6 years of experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of solutions applying development lifecycles through iterative agile development
7 years of experience in software development or related field
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems (CIS), or related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree)
Primary Skills (must have):
6 years of experience writing technical documentation in a software environment, developing and implementing business systems within an organization, and working with source code control systems
6 years of experience working with an IT Infrastructure Library framework, defect or incident tracking software, web services, and application and integration middleware
6 years of experience in systems analysis, including defining technical requirements and performing high level design for complex solutions
6 years of experience working with three or more of the following: continuous integration/continuous deployment tools, frontend technologies (UI/UX), middleware, database technologies, DevOps
4 years of experience leading teams, with or without direct reports
Secondary Skills (desired):
4+ years of experience writing technical documentation in a software environment and developing and implementing business systems within an organization
