Job Description: Field Technical Leader
Summary
The Field Technical Leader is a “player-coach” role. Responsible for actively driving and managing early technology engagement, solution sell and co-creation with assigned priority customers in the Nordic region. Working in conjunction with the account team as the key technical advisor for a wide range of applications.
Responsibilities
· Manage activity and direction of staff.
· Model and mentor professional behaviors and presentation.
· Anticipate implications and obstacles, and plan contingencies accordingly.
· Set clear, measurable goals and objectives aligned with organization priorities.
· Provide regular and constructive feedback.
· Identify appropriate assignments or formal training needs for the purpose of fostering a person’s learning and development
· Coach people by choosing a style most appropriate for the person and the situation
· Provide design and specification development support to customers and BU´s
· Listen, understand and convey customer requirements.
· Identify customer's needs and sales opportunities to help future growth.
· Assist in the definition, design and development of new products and tools
· Travel to customer sites together with Account Managers and BU staff supporting deep dive discussions and hands on technology demonstrations
· Maintain professional business relationships with priority BM customer experts in close cooperation with the Account Managers
· Support execution and conversion with customer project management tasks and provide status of ongoing projects and future projects within MS Dynamics as part of the account teams
· Close collaboration with the Regional Sales Manager to align on focus customers and focus technologies to drive profitable growth.
· Understand customer needs to drive new product developments with peers and BU.
Qualifications
· BA/BS in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
· 8 years in related and progressive experience
· Experience in leading a technical team, ideally in sales
· Strong experience in analog, power, instrumentation and industrial automation
· A solid understanding of electric control systems
· Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
· Available for travel 50%
