Job Description:

Location: Hybrid

The Access Request team’s focus is to ensure that Sun Life Group Disability responds appropriately to all Access to Personal Information Requests within legislated standards with an end-to-end review and preparation of requested content to a high level of accuracy and completeness.

As the Access Request Analyst, you will manage and support the team in completing all work within assigned service levels, identify process opportunities, and provide direct customer service to varies stakeholder, including complex work for our litigation and privacy teams.

What will you do?

  • Acts as business consultant for Access Request team in support of key initiatives within Group Disability
  • Monitor daily service levels, and complete workflow assignment
  • Perform monthly reporting and KPI tracking for Access Request team. Monitors leading indicators to help drive workload management in a proactive and predictive manner.
  • Partners with Legal and Privacy stakeholders on process improvements
  • Supports the team in escalated cases requiring special handling
  • Support the management of various controls used within Group Disability to ensure compliance and mitigate risks (i.e. Privacy Breaches)
  • Support the team in change management (i.e. when legislative changes are required)

What do you need to succeed?

  • Experience in Group Disability, or Compliance, or Risk, or Legal and/or Medical Record Management.
  • Strong technical knowledge and ability to learn systems quickly (Adobe Acrobat DC, Word, SharePoint)
  • Ability to apply critical thinking skills to processes, escalations and issue resolution
  • Ability to work independently and highlight solutions and recommendations to leadership
  • Project management skills and experience with exposure to end-to-end process analysis
  • Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Comfort in working with all levels of management
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • As this position is posted in several locations, we specify that bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for Quebec only for the frequent interactions with English and French-speaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada or worldwide.

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted.  It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors.  In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance.  Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
