BillionToOne is looking for a Senior Manager, Phlebotomy/Logistics to provide exceptional service and support to BillionToOne customers. The Senior Manager, Phlebotomy/Logistics holds a pivotal role in the organization as they will act as the face of BillionToOne for our customers including physicians, clinics, patients, and clinical and auxiliary staff. The candidate will be on the front lines of all internal and external customer inquiries supporting BillionToOne’s phlebotomy and logistics needs. The ideal candidate for this role is an ambitious and intelligent individual who is highly self-motivated and can effortlessly help drive and influence a positive patient and customer experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the integrity of all collected specimens by following aseptic techniques and adhering to company procedures. Oversee and verify correct specimen handling by both internal and external phlebotomists, ensuring compliance with BillionToOne standards.
  • Track all collected specimens from internal and external sources, ensuring accurate and timely documentation throughout the collection and shipping processes.
  • Maintain high-quality results by following testing schedules, recording outcomes in quality-control logs, and identifying potential improvements. Report key performance indicators (KPIs) to product management leadership biweekly to help drive continuous improvement.
  • Promote a safe, secure, and compliant work environment by adhering to legal regulations and internal standards. Ensure that the work environment is conducive to safe and effective specimen handling.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices by participating in professional development opportunities, attending relevant educational events, reading professional literature, and maintaining professional networks.
  • Assist in managing and maintaining all phlebotomy equipment necessary for patient service center operations. This may include lifting up to 50 pounds of supplies and managing vendor relationships related to the Patient Service Center (PSC).
  • Coordinate inventory, ensuring that phlebotomy supplies are stocked as required. Travel for restocking and supply management may be required and is reimbursable.
  • Support the onboarding, training, and retraining of phlebotomists, especially in response to increased patient volumes.
  • Monitor blood draw distribution, handle customer feedback, and address minor escalations or scheduling conflicts as needed to maintain positive customer experiences.
  • Regularly handle Protected Health Information (PHI) both in paper and electronic forms, using various secure systems. Report any potential Security, Privacy, or Corrective Action (SPI or CAPA) or Nonconformance Report (NCR) issues to the product management team.
  • Ensure open, ongoing communication regarding the status of blood draws and service updates with team members and management, ensuring alignment with state-specific regulations.
  • Maintain current status on all BillionToOne training requirements to ensure compliance with company protocols and industry standards.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of phlebotomy experience.
  • 3+ years high-level logistics experience.
  • Managing/supervising phlebotomy operations and team experience preferred.
  • BS/BA degree (preferred) High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
  • Previous financial and budgetary experience preferred.
  • Bilingual language skills preferred.

At BillionToOne, we are proud to offer a combination of a (1) base pay range (actual amount offered is based on experience and salary/equity options split that the candidate chooses) (2) generous equity options offering, on top of (3) industry leading company benefits (free healthcare options, 401k match, very generous fully paid parental leave etc.).

For this position, the base pay range is: $155,000 - $175,000 per year.
