Summary :

Imaging, Lab, & Pharmacy - EPIC & PACS focus

The Supervisor, IS Application Solutions oversees the day-to-day operations of the information services applications team. Organizes and supervises the daily workflow, processes, and resourcing requirements based on business need. Performs analysis, development, and implementation of methods and systems to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the applications team. Leads multiple cross-functional work teams to develop innovative application solutions that achieve successful organizational performance goals.

Job Description:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Supports and sustains ThedaCare’s mission, vision, and values by helping team members understand their role and responsibilities.

2. Is responsible for ongoing operations of applications including system maintenance and availability, system upgrades and updates, and user support. Assists manager in ensuring team members are trained and compliant with state and federal regulations. Explains and applies department and ThedaCare policies, and ensures consistent application of policies and procedures within their teams.

3. Leads the team and models behavior and service standards. Ensures that service expectations are understood by the team. Promotes and strengthens employee engagement, process improvement initiatives, patient satisfaction, and workplace safety. Assists manager in development planning and employee evaluations.

4. Understands and resolves basic issues relating to information services applications. Leads process improvement and problem solving in the work to decrease defects/barriers, enhance customer satisfaction, and reduce waste and/or cost.

5. Assists teams in researching and implementing enhancements that optimize and streamline the application functionality to meet business requirements. Troubleshoots problems by anticipating and intervening in areas of customer needs, ensuring data integrity, and providing timely and accurate responses.

6. Coordinates the development, implementation, integration, and support of clinical and business applications on all platforms within ThedaCare’s information system.

7. Develops and supports effective team interactions through open and honest communication. Supports relationships that create an environment where individuals and team members learn and grow professionally.

8. Implements the identification, evaluation, and development of the methods and procedures within the information services department that are efficient, effective, and meet best practice standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Five years information technology experience

  • EPIC/Specified Application Certification(s)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of twenty-five (25) pounds without assistance

  • Job classification is not exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Climate controlled office setting with potential daily movement throughout the facility

  • Interaction with department members and other healthcare providers

  • Frequent sitting with movement throughout office space
