U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Senior Software Engineer in Irving, Texas
Essential Responsibilities:
The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for supporting and enhancing the PIVOT portal application. This role will develop code for new features, fix any existing bugs and perform reconciliation of data between source and destination to ensure that the data has been properly transformed and loaded into the systems through jobs. To perform these operations, the Senior Software Engineer will use tools such as Informatica, AutoSys SQL server, Oracle and Unix machines. They will utilize many Unix commands to perform some operations and write the shell scripts, develop ETL using Informatica and PySpark, interact with source, and pull data. The Senior Software Engineer will also be responsible for the migration of the current on-premise environment to Azure Cloud by utilizing ADF, Synapse, Gen Storage, PySpark, SQL, and Informatica. Additionally, this role will generate AI models for Assets using Python and Machine Learning algorithms and work on the Chat Bot as a POC using Vector databases and AI models for automated responses and end user interaction. Further, this role will continue to improve and implement audit mechanisms, work on enhancements to the data platform, deliver fixes to the PIVOT application, will consider scalability, reliability and performance of systems/contexts affected when defining technical designs, and operate and maintain an existing Microsoft SQL Server data warehouse using a variety of data integration technologies. The Senior Software Engineer will also be responsible for the following: providing solutions that are forward-thinking in regards to data and analytics; building complex data pipelines using SSIS, Informatica, Python, and Stored Procedures;; working with Azure Data Platform stack to handle big data transformation and processing (Azure Data Lake, Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse SQL and Spark Pools; migrating ETL components from Microsoft SSIS to Azure Data Factory (including Azure Data Bricks); working with a variety of SQL, NoSQL, Python, Spark and Big Data Platforms to complete assigned projects; and working with DevOps, CI/CD, Agile and/or Scrum methods of delivery. Position may allow working from home within commuting distance of worksite location. Multiple positions.
Basic Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science plus 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer, Application Engineer, Data Engineer, Developer, Analyst, Consultant, or related.

Must possess 5 years of experience with: gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements and building solutions; developing and implementing data management strategies and data collection systems; designing data intensive applications; performing Data Ingestion and Data Processing; Data Warehouse; Data Mart; Data Visualization; reporting and Data Quality solutions; cloud data engineering; database development; data modeling techniques; SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS; ETL techniques; Python 3.1; GIT; Azure; JIRA; MSSQL; REDIS; Kubernetes; PowerBI; T-SQL; JQuery; DTS; .NET framework 4.5; and XML. Position may allow working from home within commuting distance of worksite location.
Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $149,781 - $171,000.
