Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Software Engineer (multiple openings) in Irving, TX.

Essential Responsibilities:

The Software Engineer (multiple openings) is responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development, and maintenance of best in class software experiences. This position works with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles. Specific duties include: 1) taking full stack ownership by consistently writing production-ready and testable code; 2) creating optimal design through considering scalability, reliability and performance of systems/contexts affected when defining technical designs; 3) conducting code reviews to provide guidance on engineering best practices and compliance with development procedures; 4) reviewing tasks critically and ensuring they are appropriately prioritized and sized for incremental delivery; 5) using DevOps technologies for deployments including Gitlab, and Jenkins; and 6) utilizing the following technologies: JavaScript, ReactJS, EcmaScript 6, Angular, TypeScript, HTML 5, CSS3/SASS, Grunt, NextJS, Webpack, NPM, NodeJS, and ADA compliance tools. This position will supervise up to 5 Software Engineers.

Basic Qualifications:

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Information Technology and 5 years related (progressive, post-baccalaureate) software development experience.

Required Skills/Experience:
Must also have 24 months of experience with each of the following: (1) conducting code reviews to provide guidance on engineering best practices and compliance with development procedures; (2) creating optimal design through considering scalability, reliability and performance of systems/contexts affected when defining technical designs; (3) taking full stack ownership by consistently writing production-ready and testable code; (4) working with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles; (5) utilizing the following technologies: JavaScript, ReactJS, EcmaScript 6, Angular, TypeScript, HTML 5, CSS3/SASS, Grunt, NextJS, Webpack, NPM, NodeJS, and ADA compliance tools; and (6) using DevOps technologies for deployments including Gitlab, and Jenkins. All experience may have been gained concurrently.

This position is with U.S. Bank National Association, a U.S. Bank company.

Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $149,781 - $150,500.
