We have an exciting opportunity for a Workday Integrations & Extend Analyst to join our Workday Centre of Excellence (CoE) within our Group Business Services team at Centrica. This team handles global Workday configurations, business processes, and integrations. Workday is key to our HR Integration landscape, managing over 200 system integrations that support essential business services like Payroll, Expenses, Benefits, Health & Safety, Travel, and Access Management. We are known for our technical expertise and regularly adopt new Workday features to enhance our services.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys a fast-paced, technical, and innovative environment. You will assist in testing new and existing integrations and help implement new ones, gaining technical knowledge of Workday across all module areas. This involves working closely with key stakeholders across the business and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in testing Workday system integrations across internal systems and third-party vendor systems.
  • Support Workday technical system integration activities.
  • Work with colleagues to define business processes, analyze operational efficiencies, test and implement solutions, and measure delivery results.
  • Help create and maintain effective operating processes.
  • Assist in preparing and evaluating change requests, ensuring milestone sign-offs, and identifying risk and mitigation strategies.
  • Participate in system and integration requirements gathering and sign-off, including discovery workshops and design documentation.
  • Help resolve escalated support requests.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with third-party vendors, Functional Managers, and business users.
  • Assist in creating bespoke Extend applications that meet business needs.

Who We Are Looking For:

  • Hands-on experience with Workday.
  • Basic knowledge of systems testing, ideally Workday.
  • Understanding of HR and payroll processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Good stakeholder management and coordination skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage the testing of multiple integrations.
  • Basic project management experience.
  • A team player.
  • Creative skills with the ability to suggest improvements.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Critical thinking skills and an understanding of the wider context and impacts.
  • Ability to understand technical concepts and translate them into testing requirements.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present ideas/requirements and document solutions.
  • Experience with modern integration technologies like EDI, SOAP Web Services, XML, XPath, XSLT, Java, JavaScript, .Net, REST APIs, middleware
  • Workday HCM or Integration Testing and understanding security model concepts experience (preferred).
  • WD Pro or Consulting Certification in HCM, Report Writer, Extend, or Integration Fundamentals (preferred).
