  • Location – BL9 8RR
  • Working rota – Monday - Friday
  • Working hours – 40 Hours
  • Working model – 4 days in the office, 1 day working from home

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

The IT Communications Coordinator role is to coordinate, assist and support for the IT functions of the business. The primary role is to administrate and co-ordinate the network line ordering and installation process for all UK and European group stores and aid on project delivery for the IT Operations team.

To assist in the management of all line and communications installs;

  • Ordering and administration of line installs
  • Agreeing suitable dates for the installs
  • Communication of dates to internal and 3rd
  • liaising with network suppliers and provide technical details
  • Updating the master database of configuration details
  • Being the point of contact on the day of install to ensure it runs smoothly.
  • Escalating any issues during the install process.
  • Management of an issue through to completion.
  • Completing costings for each install.
  • Helping to improve processes within the team.
  • Raising internal tickets for the configuration of switches.
  • Management of stock levels of switches and routers.
  • Technical support during the process.
  • Raising tickets for the internal support teams.
  • To assist in managing the time and schedules of comms rollouts for large group wide projects.
  • To take joint responsibility in keeping all documentation required by the IT Operations manager up to date.
  • To be the interface between the business and IT when coordinating the rollouts and new store openings.
  • To monitor issues within the rollouts / schedules and escalate to escalate to the IT Operations when required.
  • To liaise with internal engineers when utilizing them for installs.
    To attend site when necessary to oversee major comms installs. Note some foreign travel may be required.
  • To produce a comms report on a weekly / monthly basis.
  • To keep the IT Operations manager informed on all schedules and any issues or risks.
    To assist the IT Operations manager on any other projects when required.

Essential

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively identify issues, log and communicate to other personnel.
  • Ticket management experience
  • Communications background
  • Project coordination / management experience
