Retail Banking Services (RBS) is the public face of CommBank, delivering a seamless banking experience for the future to our 10 million + personal and small business customers. We offer market-leading products and services, supported by some of the world’s best systems and processes.

The Deposits, Pricing and Governance (DPG) Crew is responsible for the manufacturing and profitable growth of Retail Savings, Term Deposit and Safe Custody Products. Our responsibilities include the product strategy, product design, pricing, customer experience, risk and day to day management of the Deposit suite of products.

Reporting to the Chapter Lead, your role as Assistant Product Manager is key in supporting the operational management of the Safe Custody product suite.  This role will ensure the Safe Custody products continue to operate in accordance with their Terms and Conditions.  You will have the ability to gain deep product experience and understanding through this role.

More specifically, you will:

  • Produce regular performance reporting for the Safe Custody product
  • Coordinate and support branch audits of Safe Custody facilities
  • Be responsible for the actioning of exception reporting to ensure our products are operating as designed, including fees accuracy.
  • Assist frontline with queries through the management of the product mailboxes.
  • Identify, manage and effectively reduce risks across the portfolio.
  • Ownership, development and maintenance of standard operating procedures, process maps and product collateral.
  • Support with a number of strategic project deliverables for the Safe Custody product.
  • Identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities.
  • Support the Product Owner in delivering strategically important pieces.

We want to hear from you if you have:

  • Previous work experience in a Retail Banking role is preferable
  • Exceptional communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrated performance as a driven self-starter that is highly customer focused
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities, including the ability to investigate autonomously
  • Proven experience in process improvement
  • An ability to balance strategic objectives, risk, customer and business outcomes
  • A strong risk mindset
  • Tertiary qualification in a business or related field preferred
