About the Role:

Reporting to the Lead Product Compliance Officer, the Core Product Compliance Manager will play a crucial role in optimizing the compliance framework for Remitly's lending and stored value products. In this role you will provide strategic guidance on new products and establish compliance programs that enable business and adhere to regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will bring substantial experience in compliance within the financial services industry, particularly with lending, payments, and wallet products, and will be adept at navigating a complex regulatory landscape.

You Will:

  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to design and integrate compliance controls into product development and operations.
  • Build productive relationships with compliance teams at partner banks
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive compliance programs for Remitly's products
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and international regulations, including AML, KYC, and consumer protection laws
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate compliance risks associated with new and existing products
  • Stay up to date with regulatory changes and provide timely updates and training to relevant stakeholders
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and support regulatory examinations and audits
  • Prepare and submit compliance reports to senior management and regulatory authorities as required

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CAMS, CRCM) preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a compliance role within the financial services industry, with a focus on lending and payments.
  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. and international regulatory requirements related to financial services, including AML and KYC.
  • Ability to solve complex issues with practical solutions.
  • Ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical partners.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with experience building consensus and driving change in a collaborative environment.

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $120,000-$150,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
