Zelis seeks to recruit an Analyst to work in one of the most high-growth areas of our company: Provider. The Provider business was recently elevated to a General Manager structure as a result of the consistently strong results it has achieved, and the highly strategic role it plays in our go-forward growth plans. The GM, Provider Network is responsible for maximizing the growth and retention of the provider network while overseeing the refinement and enhancement of provider economics and managing the operating model across all of the stakeholders in the business. The Analyst will work closely with the GM on comprehensive analytics and dashboards that will help shape both day-to-day business operations and the long-term strategy.
Role Overview:
The Analyst, Provider Network will report to the General Manager, Provider Network. We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Analyst with experience in business insights to join our team.
Overall, the Analyst, Provider Network objectives include:
Support a comprehensive reporting strategy aligned with the goals and objectives of the Provider organization
Conduct in-depth analysis of Provider network data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform decision-making processes
Help develop and maintain a suite of reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs), business metrics, and operational trends
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather reporting requirements, prioritize initiatives, and ensure alignment with business needs
Monitor and evaluate the performance of reporting initiatives, making recommendations for enhancements and optimizations as needed
Create visually compelling and easy-to-understand reports and dashboards that effectively communicate complex data insights to stakeholders at all levels
Implement rigorous quality assurance processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of reporting outputs
Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging trends, and new technologies in reporting and business intelligence, driving continuous improvement and innovation
Support the creation of executive-level visuals including for the Board of Directors
Experience
The ideal candidate is a strategic and analytical problem solver with a “hands-on” orientation who is comfortable working in large, complex data sets. With over 1M providers in the nation, and billions of dollars transacted through Zelis each week, we deal in extremely complex (but fascinating!) data that is ever-changing.
Capabilities
Analytical Skills
Ability to identify and define business questions and issues, and develop strategic, data-driven, and financial frameworks to conduct analysis and surface quickly to the “so what” of that analysis. Comfort with detailed data sets and nuanced calculations/metrics.
Technical knowledge
SQL – Querying, working with large datasets, data prep
Microsoft Excel – Pivot tables, Macros, Formulas
Power BI – Using multiple sources of data to create data driven insights and stories
Ability to surface and read out key insights – Understand the data and visualizations to be able to report to leadership
Problem Solving
Problem solver with the intellectual curiosity to go deep on the ins and outs of the Provider network. Confident and proactive. Goes beyond expectations by proposing own next steps and delivering more than has been agreed.
Strategic Acumen
Ability to see the bigger picture, identifying opportunities to add value beyond immediate requirements. Over time, there is potential for this person to grow their role by building on their strong understanding of the data and starting to engage/advise on strategic projects.
Desired Background / Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field
Minimum 2-3 years of work experience involving analytics and data
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for a variety of audiences
Proficiency in data visualization tools including Power BI
Advanced proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and analysis
Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
Creative problem solver who takes initiative and ownership
