JOB DESCRIPTION:

Primary Function
Head of Marketing will take primary responsibility for facilitating business planning and market development for CRM products for Japan market. The position will drive and lead commercial planning, collaboration, visibility and accountability to mobilize Abbott resources across the company and throughout the country to execute on the product strategies.

Major Responsibilities
General:

  • Develops and executes marketing strategies through collaboration, planning and influence.
  • Analyzes results of executed strategies to assure achievement of sales and profit objectives.
  • Collaborates with internal business partners to develop integrated marketing plans to drive results and grow CRM franchise to include clinical research and publications.
  • Understands the dynamics of the market relevant to product responsibility, the healthcare and economic environment to identify opportunities to grow Abbott market share for CRM products.
  • Collaborates with Clinical department on product registries and clinical studies, new technology assessments. Ensures customers and related teams are informed of any updates.
  • Collaborates across stakeholders to gain alignment and visibility, ensure execution and track progress against APAC integrated business plans.
  • Partners with sales leaders to build quarterly plan of action to drive field execution of marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborates with Global Marketing, GMEA, other geography marketing leaders, local sales and marketing to develop tools, messages, data, programs, systems, services and behaviors to develop markets and enable commercialization to produce maximum results in enabling sales of CRM products technologies and solutions.
  • Using strong business acumen, domain expertise, strategic thinking and data, prioritizes investment of financial and human resources to yield the greatest business results in Japan.
  • Engages strategically with the sales force and key customers to build the Abbott brand, advance market development and enable sales.
  • Uses best business practices to ensure success in areas of responsibility.
  • Develops sound business models and analyzes business opportunity factoring investment costs, COGS, cost of sales/service and revenue returns.
  • Complies with local and U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned.


Minimum Requirements
Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
     

Background:

  • Experience in complex/multinational projects to drive the sales
  • Excellent communication skill in both Japanese/English

Preferred Requirement

  • MBA or Related Master level education is preferable
  • Worked in Consultancy Firms and/or Healthcare industry, assumed Sr. manager/above roles
