Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance
Translating European & Other Jurisdictions ESG reporting requirements into a Trafigura non-financial data reporting plan, and then lead its implementation.
Understand and develop Trafigura’s response to sustainability reporting standards and developments, most notably CSRD ESRSs, IFRS S1 & S2, etc; building a plan that can deliver data aligning with requirements.
Data Collection and Management
Working with ESG Functions (CHESS, HR, Compliance, Corporate Affairs) develop methodologies and processes to generate data to support sustainability reporting.
Support the data gathering process, providing oversight of data providers and recommend additional data sources with a view to bring non-financial reporting on a par with wider financial reporting processes.
implement a new performance reporting system to achieve audit-grade ESG data, controls and reporting for Trafigura’s sites worldwide
For new acquisitions establish ESG reporting processes, integration of ESG data and reporting, rebase-lining of targets
Reporting & Disclosures
Develop and handle the production of ESG reports in compliance with relevant frameworks such as GRI, SASB, CSRD, TCFD, and others.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting to regulatory bodies, investors, and other stakeholders.
Assurance of ESG metrics with financial audit provider, including developing model to achieve CSRD compliance.
Experience & Skills
A qualified accountant with more than 10 years PQE
A firm understanding of industry standards and regulatory developments
Experience in implementing reporting change
A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the sustainability industry with a focus on understanding and developing processes to help align with sustainability standards
A great teammate who is genuinely passionate about maintaining an impact in the sustainability space
A self-starter, natural networker and outstanding communicator,
Methodical and structured in driving and coordinating the project's journey
Analytical, enjoy problem solving and can explain complex data in simple terms;
Strong critical thinking and demonstrated ability to manage complexity and ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
A strategic mentality with an eye for commercial development and the ability to credibly opine on sustainability frameworks
Ability to multi-task and a keen eye on detail
Work Environment:
This position typically operates in a professional office environment. Some travel may be required depending on project needs and stakeholder locations.
