About the Role
As the ARC ITTC Centre Manager, you will be the driving force behind the successful operation of a complex, multi partner research centre. Working closely with the Centre Director and executive leadership group, you will lead the operational delivery of the Centre’s strategy and ensure everything runs effectively behind the scenes. You will connect people, coordinate activity, and enable outcomes across a diverse network of stakeholders. Your work will directly support cutting edge research, industry collaboration, and the development of future leaders in sustainable infrastructure.
Key responsibilities:
Lead day to day operations of the Centre, ensuring smooth and effective delivery across all activities
Drive planning, coordination, and reporting across multiple projects and partner organisations
Manage budgets, financial tracking, and reporting requirements
Build and maintain strong relationships with academic, industry, and government stakeholders
Support governance processes and prepare high quality reports and strategic documents
Oversee communications, including digital presence, events, and stakeholder engagement
Enable collaboration across institutions by establishing clear communication channels and processes
Support researchers, postdoctoral fellows, and HDR candidates
About You
You are a highly organised and proactive professional who thrives in complex, fast paced environments.
You bring a collaborative mindset and enjoy working with a wide range of stakeholders to achieve meaningful outcomes. You are comfortable navigating ambiguity, solving problems, and keeping multiple priorities on track.
You will demonstrate:
Strong experience working across diverse stakeholder groups including academia, industry, and government
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to produce high quality reports and manage communications channels
Proven ability to manage complex programs or operations and deliver results
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail, particularly in financial oversight and reporting
Experience supporting collaboration across large or distributed teams
An understanding of research environments, innovation, or technology focused programs
A team-oriented approach with strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to high performance
Qualifications:
Mandatory: A Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent qualifications and/or extensive relevant experience in a similar role in a large and complex organisation.
