Your Challenge:

  • Purchase and maintain proper inventory levels of all raw materials and finished goods.

  • Perform JIT (just in time) purchasing.

  • Maintain and manage vendor setups and contracts.

  • Review and assist staff and senior buyers with safety stock levels.

  • Negotiate vendor pricing and terms.

  • Manage vendor relationships and address minor issues as they arise.

  • Monitor and report on vendor performance to ensure compliance with company standards.

  • Provide accurate and timely quotes for the sales team, ensuring alignment with company standards and customer expectations.

  • Perform other related duties or functions as assigned.

What You Bring:

  • 1-3 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment and/or supply chain.

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Business Administration, Supply Chain), preferred.

  • Possess extensive knowledge and experience in the fastener industry, specifically within commercial, safety related, military, and nuclear sectors.

  • Experience in metal/steel industry.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

  • Presents positive solutions to organizational challenges.

  • Knowledge of material management functions which includes procurement planning and processes.

  • Proven negotiation skills.

  • MS Office experience required.

  • Experience in Oracle or other ERP/MRP system preferred.

  • Display an understanding of the importance of product quality and compliance to health and safety procedures..
