Within the Workforce Solutions GBU, the Renew Solutions organization was recently established to expand HP's device renewal capabilities (remanufacturing and refurbishment), enabling the company to support a more circular economy and capitalize on the growing global demand for sustainability.

Responsibilities

Strategy Development and Execution:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive business and operational strategies that align with the organization's vision and goals, with a strong emphasis on business and environmental sustainability.
  • Drive strategic initiatives to develop new and optimize existing business and operational processes, in support of the organization’s long-term strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional executives to ensure alignment with broader organizational strategies and sustainability objectives.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and maintain a sustainable competitive edge.
  • Identify growth opportunities, new markets, and strategic partnerships related to remanufacturing and remarketing, ensuring alignment with the organization's sustainability objectives.
  • Identify and evaluate digital solutions, platforms, and partnerships that can drive sustainable practices, improve resource utilization, and minimize environmental impact.

Long-term Business Planning:

  • Contribute to the development of the organization's long-term business plans, incorporating remanufacturing and remarketing strategies, digital transformation initiatives, and sustainability goals.
  • Collaborate closely with Finance to ensure timely delivery of all long-term planning and business planning objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish performance targets, develop performance dashboards, and create a culture of continuous improvement.

Business Intelligence and Performance Management:

  • Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to inform strategic decision-making, prioritize sustainable practices, and promote a circular economy approach.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and tools in business intelligence and analytics, recommending and implementing innovative solutions to enhance Data-Driven decision-making processes.
  • Utilize Data-Driven approaches to drive process improvements, identify operational inefficiencies, and optimize resource allocation, ultimately enhancing sustainability practices.
  • Implement effective data visualization techniques and reporting mechanisms to communicate performance metrics, trends, and actionable recommendations to stakeholders.

Collaboration and Partnership:

  • Work closely with product owners to align the Renew Solutions strategy with product development and lifecycle management.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including operations, supply chain, finance, IT, and corporate strategy, to ensure the seamless execution of Renew initiatives.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive collaboration and leverage expertise.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in reverse logistics and remanufacturing, preferably in Consumer Electronics and the IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) industry. Strong understanding of remanufacturing and remarketing processes with deep knowledge of related industry trends and participants.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior executives. Ability to develop and deliver high-impact presentations, with strong attention to detail.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing on long-term strategies, with ability to align cross-functional stakeholders and inspire them to execute and deliver results.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to leverage sources of information from disparate sources and deliver comprehensive, balanced, and actionable recommendations. Proven ability to bridge data with business insights to drive relevant, actionable outputs.
  • Ability to think big and for the long-term while thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and consistently delivering results.
