We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager leading delivery at LSEG in our Engineering function, supporting Operational Risk and Resilience teams.
The role sits within Operational Risk & Controls Engineering team and will lead project and product deliverables and dependencies via various workstreams and sub-workstreams, impacting multiple senior internal and external partners!
As you will be joining the in-flight, the initial focus will be on alignment of colleagues and running engineering work against committed timeframes, while leading development, testing and implementation teams in a product model towards our committed business outcomes and engineering end-goals. This will include working closely with our offshore and onshore engineering capabilities, business change teams, vendors, AFC operations, product squads and other engineering teams.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Responsible for E2E implementation of engineering deliverables for Risk and Resilience portfolio covering Customer Assurance, Operational Resilience and Third Party Risk Management
Development of scope and coordinated product roadmaps, and ensuring relevant risk management processes are in place.
Lead horizontal workstream and/or vertical product squad set up and partner engagement, implementing improved delivery controls and reporting.
Partner with sponsors, end-users and colleagues to define/refine objectives, HL outcomes, delivery approach and timelines.
Lead multiple workstreams and matrix teams throughout the product lifecycle delivering results to meet the success parameters.
Collaborate with cross-capability leads to realize development and integrations scope to build project plans, resourcing and risk
Leads the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s), ensuring highly performant, coordinated software solutions within constraints.
Leads and analyzes business needs to help ensure target solution meets the organisational objectives by combining industry standard processes, product knowledge, and business insight.
Exercises judgment and experience in selecting methods and techniques to deliver functional and technical solutions on non-routine and very sophisticated aspects of applications and technology installations.
Resolves issues by recommending and implementing solutions.
YOU'LL BRING:
Previous track record in Delivery Management (Agile / Prodcut-led preferred) within Engineering and Technology functions
Strong background in large financial services organisations and/or delivering projects sought at Financial Crime, Risk and/or Compliance
Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to interpret sophisticated delivery risks and challenges and take effective measures to unblock.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams to understand their business needs and translate them into technology solutions.
Strong planning, interpersonal, people and mentor skills
Previous experience in leading a product and/or matrix team; strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage a team and nurture a positive working environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the proven track record to work optimally with all interpersonal levels, especially with senior partners
Willing and able to challenge customers and end-users to better understand their needs
Rich functional, technical and industry knowledge to diagnose sophisticated issues and develop appropriate recommendations
Excellent solve and problem-solving skills to recommend solutions or options against engineering challenges
Experience with both agile and traditional waterfall delivery methodologies
