Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a Business Process Analyst – Level 3 or 4, to join our team.  This role offers a remote working scenario.

This position serves as the space sector’s focal point for financial planning, leading the sustainment and enhancement of IBM Planning Analytics models.  This individual will act as the liaison between technology teams and the business, facilitating, developing, and driving business processes and solutions.  Given evolving demands, requirements, and technology, the role requires diplomacy and flexibility to balance requirements, technology sustainment, efficiency, quality and compliance.  As the primary point of contact, the incumbent will maintain continuous communication with both business and technology teams.

This position can be filled at either Level 3 or 4.

In this job, you will:

  • Analyze business and technical processes to formulate and develop new and modified business information processing systems, such as production and inventory control systems, financial tracking systems, marketing and human resources systems.
  • Represent the business unit to define requirements and business cases for the technology developments.
  • Coordinate with business and technology teams, ascertaining system requirements, such as program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, and system techniques and controls.
  • Support Space Sector Business Systems and Tools Team in focusing on business and technical processes related to Financial Planning.
  • Act as a liaison between technology teams and Sector Financial Planning to help develop and sustain requirements and processes for IBM Planning Analytics Financial Planning tool Northrop Grumman Financial Planning (NGFP).
  • Support efforts to identify opportunities for technology insertion for operational efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and support harmonization.
  • Develop requirements, business cases, test plans, test scripts, training, and documentation.
  • Be accountable for systems and tools impact to process efficiency and data integrity/integration.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Level 3: Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant business process analysis professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant business process analysis professional experience.
  • Level 4: Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant business process analysis professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant business process analysis professional experience.
  • Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Experience with data integration, requirements gathering, system definition development and documentation, and project management.
  • Demonstrated ability to support complex operations while collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
  • Being able to understand and document a technical business process.
  • Knowledgeable about constraints associated with compliance, reporting requirements, upstream/downstream systems, etc.
  • Ability to comprehend a policy and translate into a process flow.
  • Experience with ERP systems SAP and/or Costpoint.
  • IBM Planning Analytics experience Required.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills to support trouble shooting and process design.
  • Ability to facilitate and drive decisions and actionable plans.
  • Defense Contractor Financial Planning experience.
  • Ability to effectively communicate well at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance. US Citizenship is a prerequisite.

Preferred Qualifications:

Excel add-in for Planning Analytics (PAX) experience.

IBM Cognos Analytics Dashboard, Query Studio, or Report development experience.

Power BI or Tableau experience.

Primary Level Salary Range: $94,200.00 - $141,200.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $117,500.00 - $176,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
