Summary
The Senior Manager Sales Operations provides leadership and specialized expertise associated with the administration of sales systems, is responsible for financial reporting on all sales data for the assigned business segments and provides strategic consultation for all initiatives impacting revenue growth for customers.

In terms of sales system administration, this position is responsible for data strategy, developing a roadmap, leading the initiation, planning, design and implementation of components and integrations. This position provides leadership with specialized expertise associated in the delivery of information for decision making to all organizational levels within Ryder. This includes leading and influencing the design, development and deployment of integrations that support strategic objectives and initiatives within the sales system architecture.

Working in a matrixed fashion with the SVP, VPs and Group Directors, the individual is also responsible for development of key initiatives, including measuring and reporting as well as providing key strategic advice and direction to sales leadership.


Essential Functions

  • Sales System Administration:
    •Responsible for developing and maintaining overall architecture strategy (complete customer lifecycle) and data integrity, workflows and processes, managing technical risk, and providing leadership on programs/projects in support of the business
    •Interact with senior business management to understand their decision making information needs, and managing relationships with consultants to translate those needs into the system
    •Create original concepts to fit business needs into system capabilities, establish standards, processes, methodologies and governance for data integration and services
    •Demonstrate thought leadership across discipline and multiple domains of data. Facilitate consensus and/or obtain buy-in from source system owners on any integration. Accelerate adoption of and promote adherence to guidelines/standards by engaging, teaching, training, and mentoring users and business owners.
    •Accountable for providing technology direction, reference architecture, establishing governing standards, documenting architecture decisions, and data quality
  • Sales Reporting:
    •Support in the design and execution of key growth initiatives
    •Coordinate monthly sales reporting for sales team, sales leadership, Finance and executive leadership
    •Provide strategic guidance on revenue generating activities based on sales data and reporting
    •Provide support in annual budgeting process
    •Facilitate performance reviews with metrics and tracking
    •Manage CAC process with Docusign integration to ensure complete and accurate sales package for reporting and compliance
  • Sales Strategy:
    •Operate as key liaison to all other sales channels and Ryder functional areas
    •Manage account/territory processes
    •Support monthly forecasting and annual projections
    •Evaluate, recommend and implement automation tools to support revenue generation and retention activities.
  • Train and develop direct reports

  • Excellent communication skills to succinctly convey the results of the analysis
  • Experience presenting to executives (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of reporting and visualization tools (i.eMicro Strategy, Tableau, etc.) advanced required
  • Knowledge of SQL to make database queries intermediate required
  • Strong knowledge of MS-Excel to manipulate data via external source connection, pivot tables, create new or modify existing models advanced required
  • Knowledge and experience with customer databases, data warehousing, sales automation systems intermediate preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with process redesign intermediate required
  • Knowledge of Salesforce.com reports and dashboards intermediate required
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce back office functionality advanced required


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required Bachelor's degree marketing, finance, computer science, engineering or relevant field
  • Master's degree preferred Master's degree MBA
  • Five (5) years or more Sales Operations or similar role required
  • Two (2) years or more managing others/leading teams required required
  • Strong knowledge of reporting and visualization tools (i.e. Micro Strategy, Tableau, etc.) advanced required
  • Knowledge of SQL to make database queries intermediate required
  • Strong knowledge of MS-Excel to manipulate data via external source connection, pivot tables, create new or modify existing models advanced required
  • Knowledge and experience with customer databases, data warehousing, sales automation systems intermediate preferred

Compensation Information:

The compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience; education, including relevant degrees or certifications; work location; market data/ranges; internal equity; internal salary ranges; etc.

Compensation ranges for the position are below:

Pay Type:

Salaried

Minimum Pay Range:

40000

Maximum Pay Range:

60000

The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type.
