Our Security & Resilience teams work with leading organizations to strengthen their cyber defense capabilities — and we’re now looking for an intern to support our research efforts in the fast-evolving area of AI-driven cyber defense.

About the Internship

AI is rapidly transforming both cyber defense and cyber threats. While organizations increasingly use AI to improve efficiency, attackers are leveraging it just as quickly. CISOs now face complex challenges in deploying effective AI-based defense measures.

This internship focuses on researching AI Cyber Defense solutions currently available on the market and identifying how these solutions can add value for Kyndryl and its clients.

What You Will Work On

As an AI Cyber Defense Research Intern, you will:

• Analyze the current AI cyber defense tools, platforms, and vendors available on the market.

• Evaluate their relevance and added value for Kyndryl’s customers.

• Assess practical usability, considering threat detection, incident response, automation, and AI-driven SOC capabilities.

• Translate findings into clear insights and recommendations for Kyndryl’s NL Security teams.

• Work with concepts such as AI/ML, Agentic AI, big data analytics, cybersecurity frameworks, and emerging threat landscapes.

Who You Are

We are looking for someone who is:

• Currently enrolled in an HBO or WO Cybersecurity / IT Security program.

• Skilled in oral and written communication in both Dutch and English.

• Analytical, curious, and able to work independently on research-driven assignments.

• Interested in AI, cybersecurity, and technology innovation.
