Position Overview

The Cloud Center of Excellence team is part of Tencent Oversea IT. The team will laser focus on providing infrastructure, and best practices to enable Tencent’s tens of oversea game studios. The team will partner with game studios to define and deliver the best cloud and on-premises infrastructure for both game production and game runtime workloads.



You will work for our strategic Cloud-Enabled Studio project which aims to transform the game studios from traditional on-premises environments to next-generation distributed and remotely accessible virtual studios empowered by the latest cloud technology.

Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Solution Architect, you will work in the agile team and develop high-quality application architecture to deliver services/solutions that continuously meet fast-growing business requirements.

Our customers include internal or invested gaming studios. The work scope will consist of understanding customers’ business requirements, collecting the technical requirements, developing reference architecture and prototypes based on leading industry best practices, leading the implementation and deployment for global locations, and troubleshoot issues when necessary.

Based in the Netherlands or France, this person will work closely with the global IT team and HQ teams.

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science.

Requirements

• More than five years of Solution Architect experience in the cloud or game industry.

• Manage relationships with internal and external customers. Building rapport and understanding their business needs. Synthesize these needs and communicate them to engineering and other stakeholders.

• Develop a clear understanding of the customers' processes and correlate their challenges and budgets into solutions that meet their requirements.

• Exhibit a passion for operational excellence by solving customer issues while teaching customers to optimize business impact.

• Develop and execute an operational support strategy that helps our customers grow and succeed.

• Drive the onboarding process and ensure successful support in early adoption phases.

• Monitor issues submitted to Support and assist with triage or initial response as needed.

• Serve as a point of contact for escalating issues internally and externally, driving collaboration and communication to resolve them.

• Collect and synthesize product feedback from clients and partners and liaise with the product team.

• Facilitate interactions between customers and Engineering, including written responses, in-person visits, or calls.

• Proactively identify opportunities to increase adoption or grow usage in assigned accounts.

• Communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, keeping stakeholders informed and delivering high-touch support.

Nice to have:

• Game development experience or R&D experience.

Multi-cloud management, resource management

• Bilingual preferred (English, Chinese). Excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to adjust the style to match different audiences.
