The Senior Assistant Manager plays an important role in implementing activities related to brand awareness and positioning, marketing, administering admissions processes and achieving the enrolment goals of assigned programmes. He/She reports to the Assistant Director of Graduate Studies and collaborates closely with the other team members in the Marketing, Recruitment, and Admissions functions to achieve the collective goals. The programmes admit a high proportion of international candidates and compete with business schools from around the world. He/she will also cross-sell other graduate studies programmes as assigned.
Key Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
Strategic Marketing
- Assist in the development of a dynamic marketing plan for the specialised master’s programme to achieve recruitment objectives.
- Manage campaigns across country-specific channels and platforms.
- Track the effectiveness of local and global marketing campaigns across channels.
- Ensure regular monitoring of key performance indicators and incorporate feedback to enable adjustments.
- Manage marketing and recruitment activities for local and international markets.
- Assist in managing the performance of marketing agencies in terms of media buys in SEM, social media, etc.
- Assist in generating marketing analytics reports for management.
- Support and assist in gathering strategic market insights, programme trends, and directions based on market environments.
- Prepare campaign briefs and coordinate with agencies on campaign execution.
- Assist with the development of content for social media, EDMs, blogs, etc.
- Market and manage events to build awareness and pipeline for lead conversions in key recruitment markets.
- Implement and execute new recruitment activities to raise awareness and appeal to targeted market segments.
Recruitment
- Design and implement EDM campaigns and automation for lead engagement.
- Keenly follow up with prospective applicants to nurture them into applicants.
- Provide timely responses to incoming enquiries related to programme, application, and onboarding matters.
- Participate in outreach events such as fairs, coffee chats, info sessions to convert leads into applicants.
- Support event marketing and organse outreach events such as masterclasses, info sessions, student sharing, and coffee chats.
Admissions
- Efficient and effective administration and processing of applications.
- Accurately administer and manage application, admissions, and scholarship information.
- Ensure applicants’ experiences at various touchpoints are positive and continually reviewed for improvements.
- Maintain high engagement with applicants to ensure a high conversion of applicants to students.
- Evaluate and assess applications to ensure candidates meet programme requirements.
- Coordinate and conduct admissions interviews to assess applicant suitability.
- Monitor and analyse admissions data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Assist in planning and executing orientation and onboarding activities for new students.
- Work closely with Academic Directors to ensure alignment on admissions criteria and standards.
Key competencies and qualifications requirements:
- Degree in any field; Business or Marketing is preferred
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects concurrently
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with confidence in presenting to internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with partners, stakeholders, and prospective students
- Proven experience in event marketing, execution and management
- Familiarity with media channels, content marketing, and social media marketing
- Proficiency in using CRM software and other relevant tools for tracking and managing marketing & recruitment activities
- Experience in sales/leads generation
- Experience in analysing, implementing, and redefining of processes and continuous enhancement of service levels
- Understanding of the higher education landscape and market trends
- Innovative mindset with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement and growth
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
