Within GR&S, the Enterprise Security and Fraud (ES&F) sub-division is responsible for the global protection of Vanguard crew, property, data, and client assets. Core Responsibilities

The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in enterprise physical security, proven leadership managing multidisciplinary security functions, and the ability to build trust across all levels of the organization. This individual will shape strategy, develop policy, and oversee operational execution to ensure our crew security program is world-class, compliant, and adaptive to emerging threats.

Travel Security

  • Lead global travel security operations, including risk assessments, executive travel coordination, and emergency response for crew members traveling internationally.
  • Partner with intelligence, crisis management, and executive protection teams to proactively mitigate travel-related risks.

Access Control & Background Screening

  • Oversee the enterprise access control program, ensuring secure, efficient, and compliant processes for facilities and critical infrastructure.
  • Manage employee and contractor background screening, adjudication, and badging programs.
  • Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and best practices.

Event Security

  • Direct security planning and execution for corporate events, high-profile meetings, and employee gatherings.
  • Coordinate with law enforcement, venue operators, and internal stakeholders to safeguard crew and assets.

Training & Drills

  • Develop and oversee training programs, tabletop exercises, and emergency drills that enhance crew awareness, preparedness, and compliance.
  • Establish consistent standards across global sites, fostering a culture of vigilance and resilience.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of travel security professionals, access control specialists, and event security coordinators.
  • Partner closely with HR, Legal, Facilities, and Risk & Security leadership to ensure crew protection is embedded across all business processes.
  • Provide regular updates and briefings to senior executives on program status, emerging threats, and mitigation strategies.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required (Security Management, Criminal Justice, International Relations, or related field); Master’s degree preferred.

Professional Experience:

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in physical security, corporate security, or law enforcement, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record leading global security operations, including travel, access control, and event security.
  • Experience building and managing high-performing teams across multiple disciplines.

Core Competencies

Strong stakeholder management experience, with the ability to brief and influence senior executives and external partners.

  • Excellent communication, writing, and executive briefing skills.
  • Strong knowledge of security risk management, compliance standards, and best practices.
