Job Summary:
This position is for a proven self-starter technology leader, who wants to be a key enabler of the Resource Industries’ sales and services growth. In this position, you will coach, guide and facilitate an organization responsible for leading, evangelizing and delivering critical data and CRM solutions, that enable RI’s customer strategic approach across the globe. You will also have responsibility for developing a diverse business knowledgeable team, chartered to pro-actively manage and support technologies and solutions used throughout the business.
This position works directly with leaders of both RISST and Caterpillar IT to develop and execute technology strategies to support the business. This position leads an organization that delivers services to the RISST division and is responsible for managing services provided from other internal IT organizations. The role consults with the business on process and technology in the following areas: CRM, data management and architecture, information security, digital services, and IT operations.
What will you do:
Business Strategy Translation: Understand business unit and segment strategies to translate business solution requirements into capabilities for analysis by IT providers.
Roadmap Development: Create IT roadmaps that enable business OPACC agendas, focusing on data analytics and customer relationship management platforms.
Solution Promotion: Advocate for common enterprise solutions that enhance OPACC.
Technology Oversight: Manage technology dependencies and priorities within and across business segments.
Operational Excellence: Establish processes for monitoring and maintaining IT service availability, reliability, performance, and cost.
Demand Management and Portfolio Oversight: Manage business demand for IT projects, develop business cases for IT-enabled value generation, and oversee vendor relationships for strategic IT services.
Resource Prioritization: Allocate IT resources to ensure the delivery of the most critical business demands.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain excellent client relationships, exceeding business partner expectations with technology product and solution delivery.
Organizational Leadership and Innovation: Analyze IT needs with stakeholders, recommend emergent technologies, and foster an innovative and engaging work environment with a focus on succession and training.
What you Have:
Bachelor's degree or Strong IT experience and demonstrated prior management experience
Business Acumen: Working knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
Customer Focus: Working knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
Planning - Tactical and Strategic: Working knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.
Influencing: Working knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.
Relationship Management: Extensive experience of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
Collaborating Globally: Working knowledge of effective collaboration techniques and ability to build networks with people from different countries and cultures, think and work with them to bring positive impact and flourishing business results.
Organizational Change Mgmt: Basic understanding of techniques to successfully effect change in an organization and ability to manage the successful and smooth transition from current to desired culture, practices, structure, and overall organizational environment.

Strong writing and presentation skills
Excellent, technical understanding and experience working with enterprise data platforms and CRM application environments.
Demonstrated quick and clear decision-making skills, strong people management, and a focus on developing others

Additional Information:
Up to 30% Travel may be required;
Preferred work locations: Remote, Tucson, AZ; Peoria, IL; Dallas, TX; Nashville TN
