Position Overview

Our team is looking for a Mobile Release Engineer with experience managing and supporting industry leading mobile applications used daily to help improve the lives of those with Diabetes. As a Mobile Release Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the release process of our mobile applications, ensuring that they are delivered on time and meet the highest quality standards. You will work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to coordinate and streamline the release process. You should have the drive to continuously improve our end-to-end production deployment process for Insulets’s global mobile apps, including localization, configuration, canary release, and production monitoring. The candidate should be interested in new technologies and be able to learn new applications quickly.

Responsibilities

§ Manage the end-to-end release process for mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms.

§ Coordinate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure timely and successful releases

§ Monitor and troubleshoot issues in the release process, providing timely resolutions.

§ Working with Development and Product Management as well as Apple and Google to resolve release related issues across multiple platforms (e.g., Android, iOS)

· Maintain and update release documentation, including release notes and deployment guides.

· Ensure compliance with platform-specific guidelines and requirements.

· Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement best practices for mobile release management.

· Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in mobile release engineering.

Required Skills and Competencies

§ Experience with mobile app distribution platforms (e.g., App Store, Google Play).

§ Experience with mobile application build tools (e.g., Xcode, Android Studio)

§ Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, Jira).

§ Deliver high quality software using Agile development methodologies

§ Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).

Education and Experience

§ 3+ years of experience as a Build and Release Engineer with an emphasis on mobile app release

§ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

§ Proven experience as a Release Engineer or similar role in mobile application development.
