OVERVIEW:

Independently establishes and leads scrum teams, scrum-of-Scrums, and agile programs across highly complex cross-functional and cross-portfolio initiatives. Interfaces across multiple product managers, engineering managers and other stakeholders to maximize development team effectiveness by engaging the right teams, supporting the estimation of day-to-day work, and leading delivery for assigned programs.

In addition, helps set the vision for the Agile Practice, defines community priorities and roadmap for Agile maturity, and partners with leadership to gain alignment and accountability for Agile adoption. Manages vendor relationships, contracts, and resources to meet staffing needs beyond their core team. Positively influences the agile community by role modeling standards of excellence and coaching others across the practice.

  • Agile Development Team Facilitation: Lead scrum ceremonies, remove obstacles and facilitate problem-solving, collaboration and conflict resolution to enable the most effective work delivery for one or more complex product and/or program teams
  • Agile Release Planning: Plan and replan software releases for complex initiatives or programs as they are produced to ensure timely updates and to deliver the planned benefits as early as possible in the initiative or program.
  • Agile Backlog Management: Facilitate refinement of the backlog with the product manager and optimize the deployment of resources to reduce costs and increase the value of the work delivered to the business.
  • Agile Practice Leadership: Define the Agile maturity strategy, set the practice backlog and priorities, and establish measures of success for DSG Tech Agile maturity.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Establish cadence for Agile metrics, oversee reporting into leadership forums, and run Agile QBRs with insights shared across the Agile community.
  • Digital Strategy/Transformational Projects Execution: Lead execution of digital road map, establishing and managing business processes, programs, and initiatives, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and governance activities.
  • Culture of Innovation: Define the execution plan to disseminate innovative capabilities across the businesses, helping people develop these competencies and enabling them to innovate through solutions such as idea generation platforms, jam sessions, and hackathons.
  • Program Risk and Issue Management: Manage identification of risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints associated with one or more programs or initiatives, escalating these where appropriate. Where necessary, develop, agree on, and implement solutions to overcome these.
  • Ongoing Learning and Development: Act as subject matter expert in an area of technology, policy, regulation, or operational management for the team. Develop and maintain external accreditations and in-depth understanding of current and emerging external regulation and industry best practices through continuing professional development, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
  • Program/Portfolio Planning: Produce workstream or program plans, ensuring that all activities are identified, are appropriately organized to deliver program objectives, and comply with the organization's approved methodologies, frameworks, and standards.
  • Transformational Change Management: Act as a transformational change agent within assigned programs and area of responsibility, ensuring integration with other disciplines/functions; build management commitment and use structured change management methodologies to drive acceptance of change and to embed desired culture and behaviors.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead the review of existing operations and the implementation of innovation processes across the department or sub-function to ensure the required continuous improvement outcomes are delivered.
  • Benefit Realization: Carry out baseline assessment and post-implementation analyses to contribute to the measurement and tracking of business benefits
  • Organizational Capability Building: Identify the capabilities needed to meet the current and emerging business needs of a significant business area. Evaluate current capabilities, identify gaps, and prioritize development activities. Motivate others to develop their capabilities and fulfill their personal potential.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's Degree or Equivalent

  • General Experience: Substantial general work experience together with comprehensive job related experience in own area of expertise to fully competent level. (Over 6 years to 10 years)

  • Managerial Experience: Experience of planning and managing resources to deliver predetermined objectives as specified by more senior managers (Over 3 years to 6 years)

Targeted Pay Range: $95,200.00 - $158,800.00. This is part of a competitive total rewards package that could include other components such as: incentive, equity and benefits. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
