Job Description: Manager, Developer Experience (DevX) 

About the Role 

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager, Developer Experience (DevX) to lead the development and growth of our new DevX team. This is a unique opportunity to grow a world-class DevX organization and play a critical role in driving efficiency, quality, and speed across our entire software development lifecycle. You will be responsible for defining the DevX vision, strategy, and execution, ensuring seamless collaboration with all development and operations teams. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Grow, lead, and mentor a high-performing DevX team, attracting and retaining top platform engineering talent. 

  • Define and implement the organization's DevX strategy and roadmap, aligning with business objectives for speed, quality, and operational efficiency. 

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs), such as DORA metrics, to measure the effectiveness of the DevX function and the CI/CD pipeline. 

  • Design, build, and maintain a scalable, reliable, and secure CI/CD platform leveraging cloud technologies, focusing on Azure DevOps

  • Oversee the integration and optimization of critical tools like SonarQube and Artifactory into the CI/CD workflow. 

  • Optimize infrastructure provisioning and costs through standardized Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices. 

 

Technical Expertise 

  • Deep understanding of DevOps and Developer Experience principles and best practices, including continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), and security automation. 

  • Hands-on experience with relevant technologies, such as Kubernetes, Docker, Azure DevOps, and managing cloud infrastructure using Terraform

  • Expertise integrating and managing CI/CD tools for code analysis, artifact management, and security scanning (e.g., SonarQube, Artifactory). 

  • Experience with software engineering best practices, including strong automation and scripting skills (JavaScript/TypeScript required, Python/Golang preferred). 

Qualifications 

  • 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or Platform leadership role, with a proven track record of building and scaling high-performing teams. 

  • 3+ years in Engineering leadership with increasing responsibility. 

  • Strong technical expertise in CI/CD, Azure DevOps, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform). 

  • Hands-on experience with relevant technologies, such as Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). 

  • Experience with automating security and quality checks within the pipeline. 

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
