POSITION SUMMARY:

The Rental Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and ongoing success of their designated rental location. The supervisor may be responsible for up to 20 employees per day. They will ensure all daily operational duties are completed satisfactorily either personally or by delegating to team members. The Supervisor is responsible for generating revenues in their specific location through rental services and rental fulfillment. They must be available to work on weekends and holidays and must be able to work mornings starting at 7 a.m. until evenings at 10p.m. Overtime may be required during busy periods. The Supervisor must possess good written and oral communication skills, computer skills, and a team player attitude. They will be responsible for the daily opening and closing of location, staff management, daily and weekly reports, as well as merchandise inventory control. In addition, they will consistently follow all Winter Park policies and procedures, all applicable laws (federal, state, and local), and all health and sanitation codes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

General Responsibilities

  • Plan and prepare work schedules and assign employees to specific duties, to ensure maximum efficiency and a positive, memorable guest experience.

  • Coordinates promotional/group activities and/or directs staff to ensure activities are carried out to the satisfaction of the guest and company.

  • Supervise employees in all daily duties to ensure utmost compliance with company policies, procedures, standards, and goals.

  • Deliver ongoing staff coaching and disciplinary action as needed.

  • Work to identify and resolve staff problems as needed.

  • Process employee terminations in accordance with company policy and procedures.

  • Manage payroll and timekeeping for Rental Employees with a focus on accuracy and controlling expenses.

  • Work with fellow managers and staff for future staff development.

  • Monitor and order supplies to provide team members with all necessary job tools.

  • Ensure compliance of employees with established security, sales, and record keeping procedures and practices.

  • Recognize and motivate team daily through huddles, spontaneous or planned recognition.

  • Ensure that staff is working in a positive, fun, and energized work environment.

  • Maintain and promote a safe working environment.

  • Ensure that store staff always maintains the highest level of guest service.

  • Be able to perform all duties of a rental tech, greeter, retail sales associate, and cashier.

  • Organize and conduct regular staff meetings and one-on-one meetings with staff.

  • Demonstrate expertise in product features and benefits of all rental and retail items in the store.

  • Complete a daily opening and/or closing checklist to ensure standards of cleanliness and merchandising are always maintained at their highest level.

  • Close rental location securely to verify the safety of all retail merchandise and rental inventory.

  • Adhere strictly to ASTM requirements and schedule.

  • Meet or exceed all daily, weekly, and monthly budget numbers.

  • Account for all security issues involving cash, theft, liability, and premises.

  • Receive ordered merchandise from the warehouse; check it in against the requisition (packing slip), and stock as needed.

  • Keeps rental shop in neat and orderly fashion to meet the standards of the department.

  • Serves the customer by answering numerous questions and gives the extra personal touch of customer service by assisting customer in purchasing complete product packages.

  • Maintains a positive attitude in an eight-to-ten-hour day, and on stressful high-volume days, to provide excellent customer service.

  • All other job-related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience:

  • 3+ years of customer service experience

  • Minimum of 2 years management or supervisory experience

  • Experience working in fast paced, high volume environment

  • Knowledge of ski/snowboard set up strongly encouraged

  • Familiarity with Winter Park Resort strongly encouraged

  • Strong computer knowledge required

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or GED

WAGE:

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of Winter Park Resorts hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Winter Park Resorts total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.

hourly pay range: $22 - 23.50 per hour
