About the Department


Fund Finance is an exciting growth business within Private Credit. We invest into investment-grade loan facilities which are used by Private Equity managers to bridge their investment activity and grow their asset portfolios. We work alongside investment banks, taking syndicated positions in bespoke, fund-level debt facilities.

About the Role


As the Investment Analyst you will get the opportunity to undertake investment analysis and monitoring of fund finance investments to ensure that credit risks are identified and managed. 

You will interact directly with our clients and liaise with banks, advisors, and financial sponsors.  In addition to supporting the team with investment work, the role will involve close interaction with the Private Credit structuring and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate accurate credit risk ratings for fund finance investments using the internal fund finance credit rating model

  • Complete ESG risk ratings for fund finance investments and carry out ongoing ESG engagement with borrowers

  • Maintain the fund finance collateral database to ensure it is up to date and accurate

  • Complete analysis of any ad hoc waiver and amendment requests for existing fund finance investments, providing recommendations to the Investment Director.

  • Preparation of annual investment and risk rating review papers for presentation to the Fund Finance Investment Committee.

  • Completion of quarterly compliance monitoring and reporting for existing fund finance investments and associated analysis

  • Provide portfolio level analytics to support decision making and risk management.

About the Candidate

  • Experience in credit risk analysis and credit underwriting with an understanding of covenant monitoring, financial reporting and loan documentation

  • Fund finance experience, whilst desirable, is not required. However, experience working with institutional clients and/or either banks or non-bank financial institutions/financial sponsors is an advantage for this role.

  • Key skills required

  • Credit analysis: able to deliver detailed financial and business analysis, with a solid understanding of key credit ratios and financial covenants.

  • ESG: knowledge of relevant regulation and the ability to identify and understand environmental, social and governance risks relevant
