Job Summary

This role is responsible for managing a team of individual contributors and/or supervisors to ensure accurate and timely work is executed. The role is accountable for the results of critical plans in terms of Process and people management. The role leads the development of process controls and managing stakeholders, collaborates with leadership, and oversees talent management responsibilities, including recruitment and career development. Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to manage staff activities in solving common and complex business/ technical issues within established policies. Has accountability for results of a major program in terms of cost, direction, and people management Provides guidance on process improvements and recommends changes in alignment with business tactics and strategy for area of responsibility. The role also acts as a subject matter expert, recommending process improvements and policy development in alignment with business strategy. Recruits and supports the development of direct staff members. Manages between 8 and 15 direct reports. Span of Control guidelines may differ from these numbers.

  • Manages a team that supports a moderately complex business unit - Supply Chain Finance Operations and Stakeholder Management
  • Responsible for hiring, setting, and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and career development; ensures that the proper tools are in place to support the team and the processes.
  • Leads moderate to complex financial analysis for a global sub-business or finance function, exercising a good understanding of the business to determine the best method for achieving objectives.
  • Ensures the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and analysis to the business.
  • Review the Month end and Quarter end financials
  • Manage month-end close and Handle audit queries – Internal, EY, SOX etc.
  • The role involves performing Balance Sheet Account reconciliations & review of FA Reconciliations
  • Consults with business leaders to guide and influence strategic decision-making within a limited scope.
  • Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement and policy development and engages in the design.
  • Creates an annual financial operating plan that is aligned to the strategic plan and performs forecasting of business results including building, reviewing, and maintaining process maps.
  • Ensures proper tools and resources are in place to support all operational activities of the department. Interacts frequently with senior management to communicate project status and escalate issues, as necessary.
  • Actively reviews and analyzes the key controls within the financial process to ensure compliance with legal and accounting requirements (e.g., GAAP, SBC, AFM).

    Education and Experience Required:
  • First-level university degree in accounting and/or accounting certification (e.g., CA, CMA, CPA, MBA) preferred.
  • Typically, 6+ years of experience with CA/CMA/CPA qualification or 10+ years of experience with MBA qualification
  • Should have experience in team management and Finance Operations
    Experience in Supply Chain Finance, cost and Inventory accounting
