About the role

The Learning Management System Specialist is pivotal in overseeing the administration and technical management of our Learning Management System (LMS), with a strong focus on compliance training. In this role, you will utilize your expertise to optimize the LMS's functionality, streamline training processes, and ensure adherence to all compliance standards. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will design and implement innovative training solutions that engage learners effectively while fostering a culture of ongoing learning.

What you'll do

  • System Management: Oversee the daily operations of the LMS, ensuring high availability and performance. Monitor system configurations and user access to maintain secure and efficient operations.
  • Technical Support: Provide comprehensive technical support for training-related inquiries and user challenges within the LMS by diagnosing issues, troubleshooting problems, and implementing effective solutions as needed.
  • Compliance Course Development: Work closely with compliance program managers and subject matter experts to create and maintain compliance training courses. Ensure that all content meets regulatory standards and is updated regularly in accordance with changing laws and policies.
  • System Training: Create a training program for the People Team, admins, and learners to help everyone use the LMS effectively, covering easy-to-follow guides, best practices for scaling programs, and helpful resources to make navigating the system
  • Documentation Maintenance: Ensure that all documentation related to LMS processes and training materials is regularly updated and easily accessible for administrators and stakeholders.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze user engagement data related to training programs and compliance training to assess effectiveness and completion rates. Make recommendations for enhancements based on user feedback, compliance updates, and technological advancements.
  • Releases & Roadmap: Conduct LMS capability assessments, contribute to the system roadmap and enhancements, test vendor releases to ensure new updates do not impact stakeholders, and inform administrators about upcoming changes.
  • Collaboration: Consult with stakeholders on the best ways to set up their training programs and utilize the LMS for scaling, tracking completion, and extracting data.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on trends in Learning technology, LMS developments, and regulatory changes affecting compliance training. Propose new features or integrations that can improve learning outcomes and ensure adherence to compliance standards.

Examples of desirable skills, knowledge and experience

  • Experience: Minimum of five years of experience managing an LMS in a corporate setting, with a focus on compliance training preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of various LMS platforms (Preferably Workday Learning).
  • Proficient in troubleshooting technical issues related to software (e.g. Articulate, Udemy).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to non-technical users.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements relevant to compliance training (e.g., Harassment & Discrimination, Government Contract Regulation, Privacy and Security).
  • Have successfully developed a comprehensive Admin Training Program designed to upskill program managers across various functions within a decentralized support model.

What Makes Cloudflare Special?

We’re not just a highly ambitious, large-scale technology company. We’re a highly ambitious, large-scale technology company with a soul. Fundamental to our mission to help build a better Internet is protecting the free and open Internet.

Project Galileo: We equip politically and artistically important organizations and journalists with powerful tools to defend themselves against attacks that would otherwise censor their work, technology already used by Cloudflare’s enterprise customers--at no cost.

Athenian Project: We created Athenian Project to ensure that state and local governments have the highest level of protection and reliability for free, so that their constituents have access to election information and voter registration.

1.1.1.1: We released 1.1.1.1 to help fix the foundation of the Internet by building a faster, more secure and privacy-centric public DNS resolver. This is available publicly for everyone to use - it is the first consumer-focused service Cloudflare has ever released. Here’s the deal - we don’t store client IP addresses never, ever. We will continue to abide by our privacy commitment and ensure that no user data is sold to advertisers or used to target consumers.
