CampSite is an industry-leading software company that has been revolutionizing the way summer camps operate since 2012. With our advanced software solutions, we empower camp directors and administrators to streamline their processes, optimize efficiency, and elevate the overall camp experience for everyone involved.

Why CampSite?

As a 100% remote company, we place a big emphasis on teamwork and collaboration and aim high with our goals and objectives.  We also like to have fun and have a number of events sprinkled into our schedules throughout the year, from an annual hike-a-thon in the Spring to our team-wide summits where we travel to places like Portland, Chicago and Whistler to collaborate, set goals and enjoy the IRL time together.

We offer flexibility and work-life balance while promoting a culture of continuous learning and growth with ample opportunities for professional development. Honesty and trust form the foundation of our company culture. We believe in transparent communication, fostering an environment where every team member feels heard, respected, and valued.

Role Overview

The Business Development Representative will play a crucial role in driving CampSite's growth and expanding our market reach. Reporting to the Manager of Business Development , this position will be at the forefront of our efforts to generate new business opportunities and nurture potential client relationships. The BDR will be responsible for managing a mix of inbound leads and conducting targeted outreach campaigns, with the primary goal of scheduling product demonstrations and moving prospects through the sales pipeline.

Responsibilities

  • Dive into targeted outreach through emails and calls to spark interest and set up product demos with potential clients.

  • Research and find the right decision-makers at target companies so you can make meaningful connections.

  • Keep our CRM buzzing by developing and maintaining a steady flow of qualified leads.

  • Write personalized, engaging emails that showcase CampSite’s value and grab prospects' attention in your sales cadence.

  • Hit the phones daily to connect with prospects, share our story, and get them excited about scheduling a demo.

  • Use your judgment and our team's lead scoring system to determine which leads are a great fit for us before passing them along to the sales team.

  • Work closely with our sales and marketing teams to ensure we're all on the same page with messaging and target accounts.

  • Keep up with industry trends, competitor offerings, and our product features so you can confidently share what makes us unique.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of work experience, preferably in a Camp setting or within a sales or marketing department.

  • Are highly socially intelligent; easily able to understand, empathize and connect with people.

  • Have a strong interest in a sales and technology career.

  • Love solving problems and discovering opportunities to help people succeed.

  • Thrive in a goal-oriented and high-growth environment that achieves results.

  • It would be a bonus if you have familiarity with CRM systems (like Salesforce) and other sales enablement tools as well as a willingness to learn new technologies as needed. We use Gong for call recording and prospecting.

  • Also a bonus if you have demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets or quotas, showcasing your ability to drive results.

This is why we’re excited about applicants like you:

  • You may be new to tech sales but you’re eager to learn and build your career.

  • You’re highly productive in a work from home environment.

  • Bring confidence in conducting cold calls and facing objections.

  • Are empathetic and know that active listening is the key to becoming a great seller.

  • Welcome adversity because it will drive you to work toward the results you know you can attain.

  • You’re motivated by your goal, by the team, and through your pursuit to always be better.

  • You are relentlessly hardworking and gritty and enjoy the challenge of hitting regular targets.

Application Instructions: As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you'll be responsible for engaging prospects through personalized and compelling cold outreach. To showcase your creativity and communication skills, we ask that you submit a cover letter written in the style of a cold outreach email as part of your application.
