The Oracle Database Administrator, is the IT resource responsible for administering OCI,  Oracle eBS application and database. Additional responsibilities include administration of add-on softwares on the Oracle eBS environment and integration tools like GoAnywhere. This position is primarily focused on the Financial systems of the group. Perform day to day activities like performing application and database health checks, quarterly maintenance, patching and upgrades. Work with internal and external resources supporting the environment, implementing new features and resolving issues

  • Plan and manage the Oracle eBS environments
  • Deploy IT products and services
  • Maintain financial and related systems
  • Support and train users
  • Analyze evolving IT technologies and recommend enhancements to the environments

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • In-depth knowledge of Oracle (12c, 19c) and high availability architectures, specifically Oracle RAC.
  • Working knowledge of disaster recovery architectures, specifically DataGuard, building and maintaining environments in OCI
  • Working knowledge of Database monitoring methodologies, specifically OEM, RMAN cloning
  • Strong understanding of performance tuning methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Unix/ Linux platforms and operating systems including scripting, editors, etc.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of software development technologies, methodologies, associated tools and application architectures (Web, Client Server, Batch, etc.)
  • Knowledge of other database technologies and platforms is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of database security implementations, data privacy and Sarbanes Oxley controls.
  • ERP experience a must; decommissioning system experience helpful.
  • Working knowledge of Windows SQLServer DB

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Business, Engineering, or related
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Oracle Database Administration covering at least Oracle 11g/12c/19c releases.
  • Experience in MS SQL Server, SQL is desirable.
  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Oracle Database and GRID 19c and 11c
  • Knowledge of add-on tools like AventX, Noetix, Excel4apps, MFT tools (GoAnywhere) is a huge plus.
  • MAA Exposure (Maximum Availability Architecture: Streams, Clustering, Disaster Recovery, Highly Available Backup and Recovery techniques)
  • Ability to perform Shell and/or Perl scripting.
  • Oracle GRID and RDBMS Security Standards.
