Position Overview

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

At Apollo, we work as one team, partnering across regions and disciplines to share the perspectives and insights that lead us to exceptional opportunities.  In this role, the candidate will support all portfolio reporting, in addition to providing all facets of portfolio management support- including allocations, performance attribution, and day to day management of the funds.  You’ll partner with junior and senior level professionals on a range of projects across the team. You will have the opportunity to demonstrate your learning with an end-of-summer capstone project.

As a Summer Analyst on the team, you will also:

  • Conduct fund modeling for individual commingled funds and separately managed accounts, both existing and prospective
  • Compile weekly, monthly & quarterly portfolio monitoring process and ongoing analytics to track portfolio construction and performance across multi-credit universe
  • Assist senior portfolio managers with ongoing allocation and portfolio evaluations
  • Generate customized client / investor reporting for both internal and external distribution
  • Track existing and prospective investment activity across the funds and support the portfolio management function as needed
  • Assist senior team members in responding to specific client requests
  • Assist the team with additional ad hoc projects and requests as needed

Qualifications & Experience

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: (Academic, Professional, Experience)

  • Pursuing a BA or BS (Class of 2026) degree from undergraduate institution with a record of academic achievement
  • The individual should have experience in the financial markets and a background in finance with working knowledge of portfolio accounting as it relates to investment P&L and portfolio performance.
  • Basic understanding of the capital markets and investment metrics, including a familiarity with fixed income markets.
  • Strong analytical and technical aptitude.
  • Shows initiative and works collaboratively alongside senior members of the Credit business and across the firm.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Bloomberg, Blackmountain Everest, Sungard VPM, Business Intelligence tools.
  • Team player with strong work ethic and who excels in a rigorous and fast-paced work environment.

Pay Range

$85,000-$110,000

The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed here.
