ROLE SUMMARY

This global role on the TTR Amyloidosis team will be responsible for supporting all of the cardiomyopathy deliverables for the GMA team.  This person will work with the Global Rare Cardio lead and the Global Rare Cardio Medical Directors in supporting critical scientific medical Ad Boards, investigator meetings, external medical strategic forum, key internal and external focus meetings as necessary and major medical congresses and/or standalones deliverables thought leader relationships. In this role, you will need to have a deep understanding of managing multiple priorities, and providing supervision, attention to detail, and follow-up for scientific events attended by key internal and external stakeholders. You will ensure smooth coordination between all departments and needs deep understanding and experience of international KOL management. Breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, oversee, and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes is expected.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support medical external communication strategy and provide subject matter guidance to rare cardio teams in Medical Affairs, ensuring effective planning and execution of conferences and Ad Boards.
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders across operations, commercial, medical, legal and compliance for understanding and meeting all strategic medical opportunities and deadlines.
  • Deploy leadership and lead implementation with approved vendors and all different department to achieve quality and budgetary requirements.
  • Gather and share key insights to enable knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with primary global GMA colleague for all commercial cardiomyopathy deliverables and content development team to ensure the scientific validity of all deliverables for external use.
  • Shared responsibility for the scientific symposia content for all congresses/ preceptorships/ Standalones
  • Acting as the medical expert in dealing with non-medical facilities and vendors that work within the organization.
  • Liaison to the safety, communications and clinical teams for all things related to cardiomyopathy.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

  • MD required and 3+ years of pharma experience in medical affairs
  • Proven history in supporting teams and designing strategies to enhance engagement with Healthcare Professionals and congresses and ad boards.
  • Demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including the ability to influence and collaborate with peers and XFT.
  • Good understanding of regulatory compliance, data privacy, and industry standards related to role.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and statistical skills
  • Demonstrate ability to:
    • Work cross-functionally.
    • Engage diverse stakeholders.
    • Showing positive interpersonal relations in dealing with medical team and XFT
  • Demonstrated ability to take projects from concept to completion.
  • Demonstration of emotional intelligence and the ability to manage self-interest with work/team responsibilities

  • Cardiology experience preferred
  • Rare disease experience preferred
  • High EQ preferred
  • Global or major market experience preferred

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

Global/overseas travel probably 15% of work schedule

    The annual base salary for this position ranges from $213,500.00 to $355,800.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 25.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
