Job Title:

Senior Engineer, Facilities Site Management

Job Description:

The Role: This role is accountable for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of ultra-pure water (UPW) and wastewater treatment (WWT) systems in a semiconductor manufacturing environment. The position plays a key role in ensuring water quality compliance, operational continuity, and advancing sustainability goals through system optimization and disciplined execution. In this role you will: Own and drive preventive maintenance programs for UPW and wastewater systems to ensure system reliability, water quality compliance, and operational stability. Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis of system upsets, applying structured methodologies (FMEA, HAZOP, 8D) to implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions. Partner cross-functionally with Process, Equipment, EHS, and external vendors to resolve issues, optimize system performance, and support operations. Identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives for UPW and wastewater systems, including efficiency, capacity, water recovery, and quality optimization. Lead capital and improvement projects, with full accountability for scope, schedule, cost, contractor management, and quality delivery. Drive ESG and sustainability programs, including water recycling, waste reduction, and resource efficiency improvements. Traits we believe make a strong candidate: 5+ years of experience in UPW and/or wastewater treatment system operation, maintenance, and optimization, preferably in semiconductor or advanced manufacturing industries. Solid understanding of water treatment processes (e.g., filtration, RO, EDI, ion exchange, biological and chemical treatment). Strong knowledge of water chemistry, contaminant control, and treatment methodologies. Ability to read and interpret P&ID and process flow diagrams for water and treatment systems. Demonstrated analytical capability with hands-on experience in data analysis, SPC, trending, and root cause problem-solving. Familiarity with chemical handling related to water treatment (e.g., acids, bases, coagulants, disinfectants). Strong ownership mindset with the ability to independently drive issue resolution in a fast-paced, 24/7 operations environment. Effective communication and stakeholder management skills across multiple functions. Detail-oriented, proactive, and resilience under high operational demands. Your success will be measured by: High reliability and uptime of UPW and wastewater systems, ensuring uninterrupted operation. Consistent achievement of water quality and discharge compliance targets. Reduction of recurring system issues through robust preventive maintenance and effective root cause resolution. Successful execution of projects within scope, timeline, cost, and quality expectations. Measurable improvements in system efficiency, water recovery rate, and operational performance. Tangible contributions to sustainability and ESG targets, including water reuse, waste reduction, and cost optimization.
