Job Description:

       Full time, fixed term leadership role in a dynamic multidisciplinary team (13th Jan 2025 – 9th May 2025)

       Senior clinician position at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne's High Risk Foot Service - an NADC Centre of Excellence

       Student coordinator for Podiatry
 

About the Role

You will be responsible for the development and delivery of high-quality podiatry care to inpatients and outpatients across the service. You will coordinate the inter-disciplinary High Risk Foot Service ward round and lead a team to ensure high quality evidence-based patient care focusing on our inpatient cohort. You will play an integral role in promoting innovation and excellence in clinical practice while providing a welcoming and professional student placement program.

Duties include:

  • Provide the highest standard of podiatry services to patients through effective assessment, treatment, evaluation, team liaison and discharge planning

  • Contribute to continuous improvement and service development within the department

  • Participate and lead regular in-service education for wards and other departments within St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne (SVHM)

  • Provide supervision and teaching to Podiatrists and undergraduate students


Classifications for this position will range from classification CV9 - CV12 ($102,091 - $116,646 per annum)  

Your Contribution

  • Current Podiatry AHPRA Registration

  • Current Victorian Drivers License

  • Extensive experience in the management of the high risk foot within a hospital setting is necessary

  • Highly developed communication and leadership skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications and professional memberships will be highly regarded

  • Current Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check, or willing to obtain

About the Department
The Podiatry department provides podiatry and inter-disciplinary high risk foot services to patients across multiple sites in acute, sub-acute and residential care, including at St Vincent’s Hospital Fitzroy, St George’s Hospital Kew, St Vincent's on the Park, residential facilities and correctional health facilities.
