Backfill - Strengthen the risk management team as responsibilities continue to increase concerning the renewal and management of Nissan’s major global insurance programs.
■職務内容/Main Tasks
The Corporate Global Risk Manager plays a key role in executing Nissan’s global risk management strategy. This role leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of risk management programs that mitigate risk exposure worldwide. The Corporate Global Risk Manager will collaborate closely with EMEA+ and Americas Risk Management team members, internal stakeholders, third-party administrators, brokers, and insurers to ensure effective insurance placement, claims management, risk financing, and compliance. This position reports directly to the General Manager of Global Risk Management within the Treasury function.
Responsibilities
• Working closely with the Global Risk Management, General Manager, define risk financing strategy on global insurance programs including PDBI, Umbrella General and Products Liability, Cargo Marine, and Directors & Officers
• Lead a team in the placement and management of global programs
• Responsible for the placement of Japan domestic programs including the risk transfer design, renewal, and administration of all Japan insurance programs such as Auto Fleet, Inland Transportation, and Business Travel Accident
• Execute insurance renewal processes including data collection, marketing, and post-implementation activities
• Interact and build relationships with insurance brokers and insurers including both Japan and international insurance markets
• Lead renewal negotiation with insurance markets directly for non-brokered programs including lead insurers and the insurance panel
• Coordinate and provide financial validation of employee benefit insurance renewals
• Collaborate and work effectively on cross-functional teams with Finance, Legal, Dealer Partnership, HR, Health & Safety and Security on various risk management programs and initiatives
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to automate business processes
• Oversight of claims management on global and Japan programs including participation in quarterly claim reviews
• Analyze claims trends and risk exposures to inform decision-making and recommend improvements to insurance and loss control programs
• Serve as a trusted advisor and primary contact for global programs
• Manage and mentor a team of Risk Analysts
• Coordinate with Regional Risk Management teams located in EMEA+ and Americas
• Develop and communicate the annual insurance budget and forecasts for Finance
• Support M&A integration activity as required

<MUST>
• 10+ years of progressive experience in Insurance Risk Management, preferably with a large multinational company leveraging global insurance programs
• Experience with captive solutions is preferred
• Experience in the automotive or manufacturing sector preferred
• P&C brokerage experience is a plus
• Strong understanding of insurance policy language and international country regulations when placing global programs
• Deep knowledge of casualty, property, marine cargo, and D&O insurance programs
• Strong negotiation skills to directly negotiate insurance programs with insurers in both Japanese and English language
• Ability to conduct business in English (TOEIC 730 level; meetings, calls, emails)
• Ability to implement and manage loss control programs
• Strong communication, analytical, and persuasive skills including the ability to interact effectively with management and all levels within the organization
• This role requires the ability to successfully navigate with key cross-functional stakeholders such as business operations, legal, purchasing, logistics/ SCM, finance, security, as well as executive management
• Possess strong organizational skills to effectively work in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to operate with autonomy and prioritize effectively
• Experience working in a global company with multiple regional business units
• Strong OA skills (Excel, PowerPoint, presentation creation)
• TOEIC:730 level or greater

Experience in Corporate risk management managing and designing global insurance programs at a global company.
Ability to work confidently in English (TOEIC 800 level; presentations and negotiations).
Automotive or manufacturing industry experience is not required, but a plus
• Experience of the car industry: Prefferd
