THE ROLE

Pure Storage is seeking an experienced and driven Manager of International Revenue & AR Accounting to support global revenue operations, accounting compliance, and reporting excellence across multiple international regions. This role reports to the Senior Manager, Directory of International Revenue and plays an important part in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant revenue recognition and AR processes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in ASC 606, a keen understanding of international accounting principles, and the ability to translate complex accounting concepts into practical process execution. You will be hands-on in managing month-end close activities, reviewing deals for compliance, supporting audits, and helping drive automation initiatives that scale with the company’s growth.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Revenue Accounting & Compliance

  • Execute monthly and quarterly international revenue close activities, including contract review, revenue recognition, and deferred revenue reconciliation.
  • Ensure compliance with ASC 606 and Pure Storage’s global revenue recognition policies.
  • Apply policies and procedures to execute accounting operations and accounting guidance.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for revenue and AR accounts.
  • Partner with regional controllership teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of revenue and AR balances.
  • Support the Senior Manager and Director on technical accounting research and implementation of new revenue models.

Deal Support & Business Partnership

  • Collaborate with Deal Desk, Sales Operations, Legal, and FP&A teams to review deal structures and identify potential accounting implications.
  • Provide practical accounting guidance during contract negotiations to ensure compliance while supporting business objectives.
  • Maintain documentation for revenue transactions and coordinate with auditors on deal-level support.

Close & Reporting

  • Lead the preparation of monthly revenue and AR reporting packages for assigned regions.
  • Assist with revenue forecasting, deferred revenue analysis, and trend insights in partnership with FP&A.
  • Help identify and implement process improvements that enhance close efficiency and reporting accuracy.

Audit & Controls

  • Support internal and external audit requests related to revenue and AR processes.
  • Maintain compliance with SOX controls and internal documentation standards.
  • Participate in walkthroughs and testing of controls to ensure continuous readiness and accuracy of revenue data.

Process Improvement & Automation

  • Assist in identifying opportunities for automation and workflow optimization within the revenue process.
  • Collaborate with Finance Systems, IT, and cross-functional teams to improve data flow, contract review efficiency, and system integration.
  • Contribute to initiatives that leverage AI, machine learning, or automation tools to improve reconciliations, forecasting, and compliance monitoring.

Team Collaboration & Leadership

  • Supervise and mentor junior accountants, providing guidance on accounting procedures and professional development.
  • Foster collaboration across global revenue teams, encouraging consistency and knowledge sharing.
  • Uphold a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and partnership within the broader Order to Cash organization.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics; CPA or international equivalent preferred.
  • 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally with a mix of Big 4 public accounting and corporate experience.
  • Strong understanding of ASC 606 and experience with multiple revenue models (SaaS, hardware, hybrid).
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or NetSuite and tools like Zuora and Salesforce (SFDC).
  • Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional partners in a global environment.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deliverables under tight deadlines.
  • Interest or experience in using automation and AI-driven tools to improve accounting operations and reporting efficiency.

We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Dublin, Staines or Prague office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
