As a Data Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for design and implementation of a Snowflake data platform blueprint on AWS for a Books and Records solution of a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA). You will collaborate with the Integration Architects and Data Architects to ensure cohesive integration between data ingestion pipelines and data models to process batch and streaming data feeds form on premises and AWS. You will design data transformation pipelines to convert Snowflake raw data layer into curated data layer for consumption. You are expected to be a Subject Matter Expert with deep knowledge and experience, possessing influencing and advisory skills. You will be responsible for team decisions, engage with multiple teams, and contribute to key decisions. Additionally, you are expected to provide solutions to problems that apply across multiple teams. Expert proficiency in Snowflake (Platform) is required. Expert proficiency in Snowflake Data Warehouse is recommended. Advanced proficiency in Data Architecture Principles, Database Architecture, and Expert proficiency in Snowflake Schema are suggested. • Design and implement innovative data solutions that enhance the overall data platform. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address data integration challenges. • Design and build an audit trail solution to capture data modifications and deletions in Snowflake to meet SEC immutability and record retention regulatory requirements for electronic recordkeeping system. • Design, develop and optimize Snowflake schema to enhance performance of reporting and queries. • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for data architecture and design processes. • Conduct regular assessments of data platform performance and recommend improvements. • Mentor junior team members and share best practices in data platform engineering.
