Reporting to the Regional Supply Manager, you will be directly responsible for production of safe, clean drinking water in a large geographic area. You will lead, develop and performance manage a multi-disciplined team of Works Technicians who operate all supply assets and undertake process and asset maintenance tasks across our water supply infrastructure
You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of dams, water treatment works, water storage points and pump stations. You will oversee the operation and maintenance of complex surface WTWs and be responsible for the safe operation of high-hazard processes such as toxic gas installations (up to and including Upper Tier COMAH sites)
You will be responsible for delivering the business plan targets and delivering against our Outcome Delivery Incentives (ODIs) and aligning your team to other programmes and initiatives across the business.
What does it take to be a Water Operations Manager ?
Considerable operational management experience.
Proven leadership skills and ability to develop a team for enhanced performance.
Proven financial management skills and ability to control a budget.
Knowledge of the abstraction, treatment, transmission and storage of potable water
Health and safety management qualified to a minimum of IOSH level.
Demonstrable experience of integrating large capital schemes into operational sites
