The NVIDIA Operations organization is looking for an outstanding Director of End-to-End Data Systems to join our NVIDIA Data Operations Team. This role will give you a rare opportunity to influence and deliver a single source of truth data platform to enable Operations to go faster and increase speed of decision making. You will lead the long-term data strategy by identifying where Operations data resides, bringing in relevant datasets, engaging with Operations and Information Technology partners, highlighting and resolving resource gaps, assessing complexities and risks, and collaborating with highly skilled technical resources to deliver solutions with agility and speed.

What you’ll be doing:

  • As a Senior Leader, you will be both the technical and managerial leader to implement the expansion of the Operations Data Platform

  • You will develop the strategic direction for the operations team to define where Ops data resides, which datasets need to be brought into the data platform, build datasets prioritization, formalize a data governance model, and drive usage of this data platform.

  • You will identify resource needs, fill resource gaps, and optimally use the team to deliver to the roadmap

  • Collaborate with Operations teams, IT, Software teams, and Nvidia-wide initiatives (ex: Master data, Omniverse) to continue driving towards on a single vision, engagement and adoption of the platform.

  • Develop compelling communication on this vision and execution plan to Operations and IT partners, ensuring alignment and understanding across the organization.

  • Be a strong leader with a passion for developing people and encouraging a culture of growth and trust where employees can do their life’s work.

What we need to see:

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information System, or equivalent experience

  • 15+ overall years of experience in the data engineering and data science industry. 10+ years in deep technical leadership positions. 5+ years as Director of an engineering domain managing large and sophisticated projects.

  • Solid grasp of data engineering concepts, including ETL processes, data lakes, data warehouses, and large data technologies

  • Previous hands-on experience with Python, SQL, and distributed computing systems like Apache Spark

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly AWS services related to data storage, processing, and analytics

  • Experience and knowledge of decision intelligence concepts (ex: ML/DL/LLMs etc.) and their application in business contexts

  • Experience transitioning from a hands-on engineering role to people management

  • Demonstrable ability to work independently, drive key technical decisions, develop project roadmaps, and champion effective partnerships within multi-functional teams

  • Proficiency in technical leadership including an understanding of architecting, crafting, developing, and maintaining data warehouses/data lakes for sophisticated data ecosystems, data governance, dashboard development, as well as designing, developing, and deploying data science models

  • Dynamic leader with a positive, problem-solving attitude, exceptional organizational abilities, and outstanding communication skills.

  • Proven track record of effective collaboration and influence across teams.

  • Highly resilient and driven, consistently tackling tasks with urgency and determination.

  • Skilled at resolving issues and empowering others to do the same.

  • Experience with real-time data processing, and streaming technologies, knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques, and familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for data projects.

  • Possess strong analytical skills, capable of collecting, organizing, and disseminating significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Understanding of GPU-accelerated data processing and analytics. Understanding of operational processes across Chips, Boards, Systems, and Networking.

The base salary range is 236,000 USD - 356,500 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
