Job Description:

Job Summary
This position maintains the general ledger for UPS companies in local region. He/She serves as a subject matter expert in all areas of financial analysis and accounting procedures, including reconciling balance sheet accounts, preparing journals containing large data sets, and uploading journals onto the general ledger.

Responsibilities:

• Prepares, audits, and enters journal entries.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
• Prepares and receives electronic charge memos.
• Provides internal customer support, including research of account balances and variance analysis.
• Manipulates large data sets.
• Performs account reconciliations.
• Completes special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• Attention to Detail: Ability to identify minute errors in large volumes of data that could affect the integrity of financial statements.
• Integrity and Professional Ethics: Honest handling of sensitive and confidential information, always maintaining compliance with legal regulations.
• Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret numbers and transform them into useful information for management, detecting trends or anomalies.
• Time Management and Organization: Ability to work under pressure, especially during monthly closing periods with tight deadlines.
• Problem Solving: Proactive approach to investigating accounting discrepancies and finding root technical solutions.
• Clear Communication: Ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial departments or during audit processes.
• Technological Adaptability: Willingness to learn and optimize the use of ERP systems and advanced Excel tools.
• Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent - Preferred
• Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business or other related field - Preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Availability to work flexible shift hours, up to 5 days per week

Grade: 9

Schedule: 7 am to 4:30 pm

Work modality: Hybrid. Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
