Job Summary
Responsible for loading, securing and unloading cargo on a DOT vehicle and driving the delivery truck on a predetermined route and schedule, including maintaining a detailed DOT logbook, documenting deliveries and operating a liftgate. Also responsible for warehouse duties including coordinating and overseeing the inspection, preparation, processing and distribution of customer equipment. Manages work orders and customer accounts, as necessary. Ships and receives packages and inventories equipment and materials. Assists with tracking inventory and performing inventory audits. May operate forklift. Has developed specialized knowledge/skills in own area. May act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.Job Description
Core Responsibilities
DOT Driver Duties and Responsibilities (50%):
Drive a delivery truck on a predetermined route and schedule.
Deliver or pick up items as instructed.
Load and unload delivery items and vehicle as necessary.
Document deliveries or log other shipment information.
Secure cargo and properly arrange and balance it within the vehicle.
Maintain a detailed DOT logbook.
Ensure any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving.
Inspect and operate liftgate.
Follow DOT regulations including providing a medical certificate.
Warehouse Responsibilities (50%):
Maintain an adequate supply of CPE and other material for issue. Determine material min/max order points to ensure proper inventory stock. Prepare and issue CPE on a daily basis to comply with installation requirements. Collect CPE, system equipment and other supplies.
Conduct regular equipment inventory counts and generate and submit appropriate reports.
Prepare inventory material requisitions in the inventory management system using web-based reports and systems.
May assist in the training and delegation of work to lower-level Warehouse and Materials Representatives.
Accurately input CPE and inventory transactions into appropriate databases, spreadsheets, billing systems and/or information management systems.
Process repair orders for CPE and other electronics for shipment/receipts from vendors and maintains the appropriate logs for the same.
Handle shipping and receiving responsibilities such as packing and preparing items for shipment, loading and unloading trucks and inspecting and documenting received materials.
Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
