The Senior Manager role within the Regulatory Affairs function has a critical part to play in ensuring San UK has an effective framework for managing supervisory inspections and all associated regulatory engagement.

As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for leading ECB (European Central Bank) / PRA (Prudential Regulation Authority) regulatory inspections and ad-hoc regulatory reviews, as well as supporting in the process of evidence preparation, self-assessments prior to each review and action management. This role reports directly into the Director of Regulatory Affairs and Compliance Shared Services.

The difference you’ll make:

  • Leading and managing all ECB / PRA regulatory inspections and ad-hoc reviews, including senior stakeholder management and related governance
  • Managing all regulatory engagement and correspondence associated with each review
  • Leading and supporting the inspection preparation exercise working closely with senior stakeholders to identify any critical issues prior to the review
  • Leading the Regulatory Response Team who work closely with senior stakeholders across the Bank, including Risk, Finance, Technology, Business areas and Group, to ensure all regulatory requests and deadlines are met
  • Providing support in establishing detailed action plans to address any supervisory findings / recommendations and track these through to conclusion
  • Maintaining the supervisory inspection framework adopted for all supervisory inspections

What you’ll bring:

These are the essential requirements you need to be successful in this role:

  • Extensive project management experience
  • SME knowledge and experience in managing ECB / PRA supervisory inspections
  • Ability to manage and influence senior stakeholders, with demonstrable experience of delivering in an environment where there are competing priorities
  • Experience of successfully managing a high-performing team

It would also be nice for you to have:

  • Fluency in Spanish
  • Understanding of the wider UK regulatory environment
  • Knowledge of Credit Risk and Market Risk with a focus on the systems, process, and data requirements

What else you need to know:

This permanent role is based in either London or Milton Keynes, with the flexibility to work between these offices.

To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 12 days per month (pro-rata for part-time roles).
