Job Title: Cloud Support Engineer

Manager: Cloud Operations Manager

Position overview:               

Our Cloud Operations team is looking for a Cloud Support Engineer with experience building, managing and supporting cutting edge cloud applications. The successful candidate should be proficient in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure stacks, build tools and web architectures.  The candidate will help build and support applications used by patients in a HIPAA regulated environment.  The candidate should be interested in new technologies and be able to learn new applications quickly.

Job/ Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the operational support of multiple global multi-tenant cloud-based applications
  • The role requires you to keep vitally important IT systems up and running by overseeing day-to-day monitoring and response to alarms, fault and performance management activities.
  • Proactively monitor systems, networks, and applications to provide input in improving the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of systems
  • Participate in incident reviews to create improved supportability documentation, diagnostics, tooling, error messages and automation
  • Manage the secure, scalable and resilient hosting of numerous applications in a regulated (HIPAA) environment that improves the lives of thousands of people on a daily basis.
  • Implement monitoring and security controls across various platforms.
  • Collaborate closely with the multiple technology and cross-functional groups within the organization.
  • Proven experience to analyze and run audit forensics ,trend analysis and cloud data reporting
  • Manage ticket assignments, documentation and escalations for thorough and timely outcomes

Skills/Experience:  

  • 5+ years demonstrated work experience with AWS (e.g. ECS, Fargate, ELB, S3, Lambda, etc) and / or Azure (Virtual Machines, Container Instances, Blob Storage, etc)
  • Experience with Application and Infrastructure Monitoring such as AWS Cloudwatch, Azure Monitor, Datadog)
  • Proven experience to analyze and run audit forensics ,trend analysis and cloud data reporting
  • Experience with Change management, incident review and root cause analysis of maintenances and network outages
  • Excellent communications skills and extensive experience working with technical teams and management
  • Bachelor’s degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS certifications, preferably Solutions, DevOps or SysOps
  • Experience with Agile software development
  • DevOps infrastructure experience, including Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Atlassian Suite (JIRA, Bamboo, Bitbucket), etc
  • Experience supporting scalable database technologies, including MongoDB, MS SQL, and Postgres
  • Experience in supporting secure software platforms in a regulated environment (SOX, HIPAA, GDPR)
  • Experience supporting a scalable, highly available, active/active environment across regions
  • Comfortable supporting Linux (Ubuntu, Amazon Linux) and Windows operating systems
  • Experience with security applications that could be used in the cloud (e.g. Defender for Cloud, AWS GuardDuty, etc)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, System Administration or equivalent

Additional Information:

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $115,390.00 - $173,305.00. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the primary work location in the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
